Lionel G. Clark

Lionel G. Clark, 85, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Jan. 31, 2018, at home.

He was born on Aug. 17, 1932, in Phillips County, Kan. to Guy Clark and Edna Whitaker Clark. He graduated from Densmore High School in Densmore, Kan. He retired from truck driving and moved to Bella Vista where he recently retired a second time from Harp's. He was always will to lend a helping hand.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Clark; and three siblings, Laurence Clark, LaVonne Harris and Roy Clark.

Survivors include two sons, Rodney Clark of Surprise, Ariz. and Robert Clark of Wamego, Kan.; one daughter, Kathy Underwood of Tonganoxie, Kan.; two stepsons, Rodney Henderson of Kansas City, Kan., and Joel Henderson of Basehor, Kan.; three siblings, Devota Saylors, Carols Clark and Deloris Gomez; and several grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Feb. 3, at Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel in Bella Vista.

Kenneth Vance Hulse

Kenneth "Ken" Vance Hulse, 67, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018.

He loved fishing, hunting and being outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vance and Eva Hulse of Pratt, Kan.

Survivors include his wife, Shelia Hulse; son, Shawn (Jennifer); daughter, Kristy (Clint Colberg), seven grandchildren; stepdaughter, Marisa (Bill Remow); and sister, Rita (Marvin Saloga).

Robert Janes Kapke

Robert James Kapke, 87, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Ark.

He was born Nov. 30, 1930, to Walter and Kathryn Kapke in Chicago. He married Barbara in 1951. He graduated from Bradley University in 1953 and worked for GE until called into the U.S. Air Force service in 1954. He served in Vietnam for one year and continued service until his retirement in 1981. He retired to Bella Vista in 1989. He enjoyed sports, Cubbies, gardening, Jeopardy, bowling and golf.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife of 63 years, Barbara.

Survivors include six children, Robert B. Kapke and wife Julie, Lynn Clay and husband Scott, Gail Davis, Ken Kapke and wife Susan, Lisa Harden and husband Randy, and Rich Kapke; and 14 grandchildren.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Feb. 2, at Highlands United Methodist Church, 371 Glasgow Road, Bella Vista.

Scott Foster Kenworthy

Scott Foster Kenworthy, 57, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Monday, Jan. 29, 2018, at his residence.

He was born Jan. 26, 1961, in Denver, Colo., to Doris and Frank Kenworthy. He served in the U.S. Navy and attended Ole Miss. He played golf on the "Nike Tour" and was the golf pro at Brownsville Country Club in Brownsville, Texas. He lived in northwest Arkansas for three years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Kenworthy.

Survivors include his mother, Doris Kenworthy of Bella Vista; one brother, Jim and wife Alane of Pensacola, Fla.; and one sister, Bonnie Miltimore and husband James of Covington, La.

Walter Henry Knocke

Walter Henry Knocke, 91, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Jan. 30, 2018 at Circle of Life in Springdale, Ark.

He was born Sept. 5, 1926, to the late Edward and Hilda Knocke in Pawnee Rock, Kan. He played football and basketball at Wichita State University. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II and worked in the insurance industry for 27 years. Moving to Bella Vista 30 years ago, he became a member of the United Lutheran Church where he taught adult Bible classes and was a Stephen minister.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Betty Knocke; son, Stanton Knocke of Shawnee, Kan.; daughter, Martha Paulk of Castle Rock, Colo.; brothers, Erwin Knocke of Arkansas City, Kan., Maurice Knocke of Champaign, Ill., and Ronald Knocke of Hot Springs, Ark.; and five grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Saturday, Feb. 3, at Mount Hope Cemetery in Mount Hope, Kan., under the direction of Wulf-Ast Mortuary.

A memorial service will be held at United Lutheran Church in Bella Vista at a later date.

Roy Lindquist

Roy "Laird" Lindquist (Swede), 74, of Bella Vista, Ark. died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018.

He was born Aug. 28, 1943, in Omaha, Neb. He graduated from Elkhorn High School and spent the next four years in the U.S. Navy. He worked for John Deere Company for 33 years. He moved to Bella Vista in 2002 and worked part-time for TH Rogers Lumber Company. He was an avid collector of anything John Deere.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy & Grace Lindquist; and stepson, Scott Plambeck of Omaha.

Survivors include his wife, Judy of Bella Vista; sister, Mary Heiman of Elkhorn; brother, Monte Lindquist (Ginny) of Las Cruses, N.M.; stepsons, Mike Plambeck of Omaha and Doug Plambeck (Kim) of Red Oak, Iowa; stepdaughters, Laura Mousel and Leann Rigatuso, both of Omaha; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, located at 2258 Forest Hills Blvd. in Bella Vista.

George Franklin Schaub

George Franklin Schaub, 95, of Bella Vista, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, at Circle of Life, Bentonville, Ark.

He was born Dec. 10, 1922, in Bunker Hill, Ill., to Norvel and Loraine Stigler Schaub. He served in England in WWII as a waist gunner on a B-17. He was a general contractor of custom homes in the Chicago area and Fairfield Bay, Ark., and was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. He was also a volunteer ambulance driver and enjoyed carpentry.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Edward and Clifford.

Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Lois Young Schaub; daughters, Jan Mc Mahon (Jim) of Bella Vista and Jill Marriner (Tom) of Tulsa; and three grandchildren.

A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m., Feb. 9, at Concordia Retirement Center with Fr. Barnabas Msusai officiating. Private interment to follow.
