Men's and Women's Club Championship

These tournaments (men and women) will be held Saturday, Aug. 11, and Sunday, Aug. 12, at the Highlands and BV Country Club for members 18 and over with a verifiable handicap. Saturday will start with 7 a.m. coffee and doughnuts and 8 a.m. assigned tee times. Sunday will begin with 7 a.m. coffee and doughnuts and 8 a.m. assigned tee times. From 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., a lunch buffet will be provided by BV Bar & Grill and awards will follow the play.

The format is individual stroke play and players will be pre-flighted in each division prior to play. Entry fee is $70 per player plus applicable green and cart fees. Fee includes tee gift, prizes, coffee and donuts, drinks on the course and buffet lunch on Sunday.

Players wishing to compete for the 2018 Men's Club Championship title must register in advance for the Champion Division and must play from the blue tees. Players wishing to compete for the 2018 Woman's Club Championship title must register in advance for the Champion Division and play from the red tees.

Registration and cancellation deadline is 5 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 8, with a $10 late registration fee.

The Longest Day

Saturday, Aug. 18, the Bella Vista POA Kingswood Golf Course will participate in The Longest Day -- a fundraising and awareness event to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. The inaugural tournament is an 8 a.m. shotgun at Kingswood with a four-person scramble format. The cost is $200 per team plus the cost of golf fees and carts. The tournament welcomes all golfers of all abilities. Teams will be flighted after play. Lunch will be provided after golf and is included in the entry fee. Wall of Honor Charity Golf Tourney

This tournament will be a four-person scramble format with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Kingswood Golf course in Bella Vista. Mulligans and raffle tickets will be available that day. Entry includes a goody bag, door prizes and lunch. Money and prizes will be given out rain or shine. There is a 36 team maximum (144 golfers). The entry fee is $65 per person. All players are welcome and no POA membership is necessary to enter.

Women's 5-Hole Golf

The Women's 5-Hole Golf Association welcomes new members throughout the season, from April 22 through Oct. 29. Play is at the Metfield Brittany Golf Course at 9 a.m. on Monday mornings. In July and August, play begins at 7:30 a.m. This is a casual fun group with no handicap in which players score the first five holes and usually play a scramble the last four. Women's 9-Hole Golf Association

The Bella Vista Women's 9-Hole Golf Association welcomes new members throughout the 2018 golf season. Golf rounds are played on Monday mornings from April 2 through Oct. 22 on Kingswood and Berksdale golf courses. Members sign up by Monday night to play the following Monday, with four flights set by members' handicaps. Membership dues are $30 plus a $6 handicap fee (if not paid through another group) and an optional $2 for the hole-in-one prize. Applications are available at all pro shops and on the www.BV9WGA.com website.

Men's 9-Hole Golf Association

The Bella Vista Men's Nine Hole Golf Association welcomes new members throughout the 2018 golf season. Golf play is April through October on Wednesday mornings, with reserved tee times and four handicapped flights. Banquets are held in the spring and fall. The association offers weekly hole and flight prizes and supports local charities. Oldes 9-Hole Golf Group

The Oldes Golf Group is seeking new members for the 2018 season. The Oldes play on Tuesday mornings with tee times and play at all of the Bella Vista courses. Most of the weekly golf events are at Berksdale and Kingswood. Texas Scramble is played most often to make the games fair for all participants. 44 Couples 18-Hole Golf Club

The 44 Club league is accepting applications for new members to the 2018 season. The 44 Couples Golf Club's focus is to make golf enjoyable and entertaining. The league plays once a month on Saturday at a variety of golf courses in Bella Vista. The league plays handicapped events with four flights. After golf, the players meet for a lunch or dinner to share experiences and collect prizes. All golfers are welcome. Applications can be obtained from Bella Vista pro shops or by email request at bv44club@gmail.com.
