Unitarian Universalists

Continuing April's theme of Miracles, April 15 features a talk written by Unitarian Universalist minister Laurie Bushbaum titled, "Ordinary Miracles."

Bella Vista Lutheran Church

The Bella Vista Lutheran Church offers a casual worship service, "Ignite," with modern music on Saturdays, which begins with a free supper at 5 p.m. The community is welcome.

The Shepherd's Food Pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The panty is in need of heart-healthy cereals and pastas and sugar-free snacks such as pudding and gelatin cups. A container for donations is in the church narthex.

Village Baptist Church

A free seminar concerning parenting adult children will be presented at Village Baptist Church from 9:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday, May 9. The seminar is open to the public. The church is located at 380 Glasgow Road in the Highlands of Bella Vista.

Village Bible Church

Wednesday, April 11, the Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to noon. This ministry is available to anyone in the area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragement of friendly volunteers.

Pastor Mark Voll will continue his "The Gospel of Mark!" sermon series. This Sunday's sermon is titled "The Fact & Fiction of Faith" with a text of Mark 11:12-14, 20-25.

Bella Vista Community Church

The Bella Vista National Day of Prayer Breakfast hosted by Bella Vista Community Church is at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 5, with special guests Mayor Peter Christie and NICA Coach Ben Rowell. After the prayer breakfast join us in cleaning up the trails around the BVCC trailhead. RSVP required. Please call 479-855-1126 or sign up at bvcc.net. Space is limited to the first 200 people. Suggested donation is $5 at the door.

Bella Vista Men for Christ hosts Bentonville Mayor Bob McCaslin at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 21, in the chapel. The mayor will be speaking on his Christian walk of faith in politics and business. Men and women are invited. Please call the church office to sign up.

The Bella Vista Men's Chorus will host a Village House benefit concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 15, in the sanctuary.

Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista

This month's PCBV Sing-Along at Highlands Rehabilitation Center will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 13. All Bella Vista community singers are welcome to join the effort to lift the spirits of the Highlands residents.

Doing some spring cleaning and have gently used items to donate? The "Care and Share" trailer will be in the church parking lot at 1880 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, all day Wednesday, April 18, and through noon Thursday, April 19. Call the church office for more information (479-855-2390).

Highland Christian Church (Diciples of Christ)

Highland Christian Church is hosting a two-hour James Garrett "Tribute to John Denver" concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 22. Advance ticket sales only. Tickets may be purchased at Bella Vista Library and Village House Adult Program. All ticket proceeds go to the support of these great organizations. Seating is limited, so please purchase tickets soon.

St. Bernard Catholic Church

Caring Friends is sponsoring a presentation about Dementia and Alzheimers from 1 to 2:30 p.m Tuesday, April 17. There will be two speakers from the medical staff at Washington Regional and several parishioners giving the presentation. This event is free and open to the public.

Forest Hills Church

Pastor Mark Kirby will deliver the sermon, "How About a Walk?," from Genesis 5:21-24 during Morning Worship at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, April 15.

Unity Church of the Ozarks

Los Angeles' Master Numerologist, Gail Minoque will present "The Hidden Power of Your Name and Date of Birth - How Numbers Direct Your Life" workshop from 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, April 15. A love offering is requested. She will also be the guest speaker at the 10:30 a.m. worship service.

United Lutheran Church

ULC Movie Night (featuring Same Kind of Different as Me) will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 19. The public is welcome to this monthly event filled with popcorn and fellowship.

Art n' Luther is back by popular demand! This is a fun, faith filled painting experience to paint on canvas and take home the creation. This event is open to the public, however seating is limited (with only 30 spots available). Call the United Lutheran Church office to RSVP your seat at 479-855-1325. The cost is $10 for one and only $5 more for a friend. All art supplies will be provided. Art n' Luther is an event that happens at least twice a year.
