Nov. 9

s The Bella Vista Historical Museum will host its next History Club meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at the museum. The topic this month will be the unsolved murder mystery from 1903. The murder victim was buried at Summit Cemetery near what is now the Metfield Complex. Jean Fitch Justice and Carol Miles will present this fascinating program. Admission is free, and light refreshments will be served. The museum is located at the corner of Highway 71 and Kingsland, next door to the American Legion. The museum's normal hours are Wednesdays through Sundays, 1 to 5 p.m.

Nov. 11

s Bella Vista Women's Chorus Veteran's Day Concert -- "Veteran's Day Musical Salute" joined by the Bella Vista Men's Chorus, Perfect Harmony and the Bentonville High School Chamber Choir, will honor veterans in song. They will perform at the Bella Vista Community Church at 3 p.m. on Nov. 11. This concert is a fundraiser for the National Cemetery in Fayetteville and the Veterans Wall of Honor in Bella Vista.

s Bella Vista American Legion Post 341 will host a Veterans Day program at the Veterans Wall of Honor beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11. Guest speaker will be Brig. Gen. Bernie Skoch (USAF retired). The Post will also honor local recipients of the Purple Heart. Music will be provided by the United Lutheran Band and Church Mixed Quartet, and the Melody Lane Quartet. Bring a lawn chair. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved to the American Legion Post at U.S. 71 and Kingsland Road. The Wall is located on the north shore of Lake Bella Vista. Dec. 2

s The 29th Annual Cookie Walk, sponsored by Highlands Church will take place Saturday, Dec. 2, at the church, 371 Glasgow Road in Bella Vista. The doors open at 8 a.m. The "walk" begins at 8:30 a.m. and lasts until 11 a.m. or until all the cookies are gone. Those who visit the Cookie Walk may also enjoy a Coffee Shoppe, Sweet Shoppe, and Hand-made Crafts for holiday gift giving. The cost per can is $12. Dec. 7

s The Veterans Council of NWA together with the Bella Vista POA will host the "God Bless America Concert" being held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at Riordan Hall in Bella Vista. The 17-piece Jack Mitchell Band of Northwest Arkansas is presenting a free two-hour patriotic concert in remembrance of 911 and the Dec. 7 attack on Pearl Harbor. Everyone is welcome to attend this free patriotic concert. Come early for seating, no tickets or reservations are required. Just come and enjoy.
