Republic Services will require notification for bulky item pickups starting April 1. Bulky items left next to a trash bin will no longer be accepted.
Each residence may request pickup for one large item each week, according to a press release issued by the city.
According to the release, a different truck has to be used to perform bulk pickups, and collection of bulky items may not be the same day as the normal trash pickup. According to the release, bulky pickup is scheduled for Mondays.
This does not apply to household trash left outside trash carts, according to the releases. Household trash needs to be bagged and placed in the Republic-issued bins, according to the release.
