Village Bible Church

Bella Vista Baptist Church

Sunday morning schedule -- contemporary worship is at 8:30 a.m.; Bible study/Sunday school at 9:45 a.m.; traditional worship at 11 a.m. Sunday evening service is at 5 p.m. in the old sanctuary.

Men's Prayer Breakfast is every Tuesday at 6:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. The group is currently studying the Book of Proverbs.

Children's Summer Program is 6-8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Join each week as we learn what the Bible has to say about "Not Giving Up" as we look at the story of Nehemiah.

Wednesday Evening Prayer Meeting Service starts at 6 p.m. now through the summer months in the old sanctuary. Youth activities begin at 6 p.m.

Prayer Warriors are available from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week by calling 479-855-6644.

The Senior Adult Ministries hosts ice cream and a movie the third Friday of the month at 6:30 p.m. All adults are welcome.

St. Theodore Episcopal Church

Join the congregation for worship and celebration of the Holy Eucharist on Sunday morning at St. Theodore. There are two services of the Holy Eucharist. Rite I is at 8 a.m. and Rite II at 10:30 a.m. Coffee fellowship takes place after the 10:30 a.m. service.

Sunday school classes for adults and children are offered at 9:15 a.m. St. Theodore is located at 1001 Kingsland Road, Bella Vista.

St. Bernard Catholic Church

Vacation Bible School continues July 12-14 in the classrooms and the Parish Hall.

On Thursday, July 13, the Women's Club will have a card party in the Parish Hall at 11:30 a.m.

The Knights of Columbus will meet in the Parish Hall Thursday, July 13, at 6:30 p.m.

On Saturday, July 15, at 6 p.m., the Marian Movement of Priests will meet in the chapel to pray.

There will be crafts in the Hall on Tuesday, July 18, at 8 a.m.

Bunco will be played in the Hall on Wednesday morning, at 10 a.m.

Bingo is held the first and third Thursdays in the Parish Hall. The next scheduled date is July 20. The jackpot is $1,000. Doors open at 5:45 p.m.

Daily morning Mass is celebrated at 8:30 a.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.

Evening Mass is at 5 p.m. Wednesdays.

Mass is celebrated at 5 p.m. Saturdays (Sunday vigil) and at 9 a.m. Sundays.

Highlands Church

This Sunday is Cookie Sunday. Join this Sunday for traditional worship at 9:30 a.m. After the service, the congregation will have coffee, cookies and conversation in Fellowship Hall.

Contemporary worship service starts at 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 10.

The next HUMMERS Blood Drive is scheduled for Wednesday, July 26, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Free cholesterol screening-- bring a photo ID.

JAM Sunday school class meets every Sunday at 8:15 a.m. in the Mark classroom. Everyone is welcome to attend.

The congregation will again be collecting food items for Snack Packs for Gravette school children for the summer, beginning right now. Bring nonperishable items to the church to take to Gravette. Please omit any items that include nuts as some of the children are allergic to them.

New Wine Ministry

New Wine Ministry meets every Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Pastor Vincent Xavier ministers the Word, with Ken and Peggy Wagner leading the worship. There will be coffee fellowship before and after each service.

A Bible study is held in Decatur at 7 p.m. every Wednesday. Call for location.

Pastor Patricia Xavier leads a study on spiritual warfare and deliverance held at 7 p.m. Thursdays at the same location. The study is based on her book "Deliverance --The Christian's Bill of Rights."

Women of Substance meets at 2:30 p.m. the first Saturday of every month. A buffet luncheon is served which is followed by one of the women of the church giving her testimony.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church

The Lutheran Hour is broadcast every Sunday at 12:30 p.m. on radio station KURM-FM (100.3) and radio station KURM-AM (790).

The Men's Discipleship Class meets on Mondays at 1 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. Park in the rear parking lot and enter the lower level.

The Shepherd's Food Pantry is open every Friday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. They are in need of peanut butter and jelly and bar soap. A container for donations is in the church narthex.

Unitarian Universalists

In August, UUBC services at Little Einstein Montessori School will be held only on Aug. 13.

Sunday School is available for children with a Unitarian Universalist adaptation of Jerome Berryman's book, "Spirit Play" as the primary resource. We structure the morning based on the Montessori approach. As in Montessori, the key elements are the classroom environment and the teachers. These elements free the children to work at their own pace on their own activities after an initial lesson.

The Unitarian Universalists of Benton County meet at 1110 S.E. Evergreen St. (Little Einstein Montessori School) in Bentonville near the southeast corner of 14th and J streets. The Sunday service, which begins at 11 a.m., is preceded by coffee and social time beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Highland Christian Church

Highland Christian Church -- The Happening Place -- meets for worship with communion at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday. Sunday school classes start at 9 a.m. offering three adult studies and "Creative Worship" for youth. Coffee fellowship is 10-10:30 a.m.

Are you looking for information about ( Disciples of Christ) and Highland Christian Church? Over the next three Sundays, July 16, 23, and 30, Ray Ticknor will offer during the 9-10 a. m. Sunday School hour, a class on being a member of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The class, meeting in the choir room, will cover history, basic characteristics, avenues of service, and organization structure, things that good and informed members need to know. A bus trip to Branson to Sight & Sound Theatre to see "Moses" is planned for Tuesday, Sept. 12. The bus will leave the church at 8 a.m. Lunch is at Montana Mike's at 11 a.m., the backstage tour at 1 p.m. and the "Moses" production is at 3:30 p.m. Dinner is at McFarland's at 6:30 p.m., with arrival back at the church by 9:30 p.m. The cost is $100-$110 per person, depending on the number of participants. Forest Hills Church welcomes people of all faiths to worship. Presbyterian Church

Members of the church will gather for a Sing-a-Long with the residents of Highland Healthcare and Rehab in Bella Vista on Friday, July 14, at 2:30 p.m. Come to sing and visit with the residents.

The Missions Committee will be hosting a Back to School Brunch on Saturday, July 15, at 8:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. Bring school supplies to donate to the students at the Gravette Schools. A program will follow. Please sign up at the Information Center so the Committee will have a count for food preparation.

The community is invited to a traditional worship service on Sunday, July 16, at 10 a.m. Christian Education classes for all ages meet at 8:30 a.m. A nursery attendant is available. We always welcome new friends.

The week of July 31-Aug. 4, the church will have a new "Creative Kids Make It and Share It" half-day summer camp program from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for grades K-12. This will be a mission-oriented event for the youth, making a different project each day for a different non-profit in Bella Vista, and then delivering it to them. Throughout July and August the Missions Committee will be collecting Snacks for Kids to be given to Helping Hands Food Pantry in Bentonville. Bring child-friendly food items such as snack and lunch items, cheese and crackers, single serve fruit cups, juice packets/boxes, granola bars, microwaveable mac and cheese, ravioli, soups, etc. The donation table is located in the connector hallway.

Bella Vista Community Church

Worship is at 9:30 a.m. Sunday mornings with coffee fellowship before and after the service. Pastor Jeff Reed will be preaching Sunday, July 16. During the worship service, a staffed nursery is available.

Newcomers' Orientation will be Wednesday, July 19, at 7 p.m., in the parlor.

New Life Christian Church

New Life Christian Church is taking a journey through the entire Bible with "The Story." Sunday services are held at 8:30, 10 and 11:30 a.m. New Life Kids' Programming is offered at all three services.

A new summer ladies' Bible study "The Daniel Prayer" is held on Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. Women of all ages are welcome to attend.

Unity Church of the Ozarks

SSA recently created 74 supply bags for the hungry and homeless passed on from the cars. More than 40 suitcases were donated for children leaving the Children's Shelter. Laundry-style bags to hold children's large toy items, etc., are needed.

The Church Bazaar is from 9 to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, July 21-22. Many raffle items are available from local merchants.

July Wednesday Night's Study is held 7-8:30 p.m. and studies Bryon Katie's "The Work: Loving What Is." Join for this powerful process of step-by-step self-inquiry.

United Methodist Church

United Methodist Men will hold their July dinner meeting on Wednesday, July 12, at 6:30 p.m., in Becker Hall. The speaker is Ron Evans, currently secretary of the Amateur Radio Club better known as HAM Radio. Ham radio reaches around the world, developing contacts and friends in places you would not ever expect, faced with situations you are not familiar with and having to react quickly in order to help and serve. The Care and Share trailer will be in the upper parking lot on Monday, July 17, from 7 a.m. until about 1 p.m. What is sold in the Care and Share Thrift Store and Food Pantry in Gravette is all donated items, with profits supporting those in need in western Benton County. The clothes and other items donated to our UMW Rummage Sale could be dropped off for their trailer.

Friends Plus Healthy Living meets Wednesday mornings at 9 a.m. at the church to walk, and then about 10:30 meets in the Chapel to share tips on making healthier lifestyle choices, and encourage and uplift one another. A healthy snack is usually shared.
