POA needs more handicapped parking

POA needs more handicapped parking

Generally, the Bella Vista Property Owners Association does a great job for the welfare of its Bella Vista citizens. However, this one item needs attention.

While visiting for business at the POA office at Metfield, I find there is no handicap parking. Because the parking lot was full, I had to park at the lower end of the lot and walk up the parking lot plus the long sidewalk to the POA office. It's a chore if you've got bad knees.

There is handicap parking at Metfield, but it's on the east and near the golf headquarters -- nothing in front of front of the POA office. Also, there is need to improve the signage here as the office is hidden behind the exercise area.

Also using the Branchwood facility, there are only two handicap spots for this facility, which has great traffic for swim and exercises. Had to park way down by the swing set area. Surely this facility has a need for more handicap spots for parking. Bella Vista still has a lot of handicap people yet!

There must be a guideline or ratio published by its federal or state courts on the number of handicap spots for a facility.
