Make America great again

In the United States, our cultural mentality is not normal nor peaceful. If you believe the liberal news outlets from New York City, the elite citizens are disturbed. They are going nuts because we won't have a woman democrat sworn in as president on the 20th. It is like the big cities in the northeast and on the west coast are gripped with an epidemic of paranoid schizophrenia.

The disease came on suddenly, since the election last November.

Privileged artists live extravagant, comfortable lives from the money that "we the people" pay them to entertain us. Then they use their fame as a platform to dump on our values like it was beneath them to rub elbows with ordinary yokels like us. They don't live in the same world as we do. They despise us.

They don't work 9-5. They have housekeepers, cooks, babysitters, personal trainers, and bodyguards. They don't wait in the cold in a long line of cars, many with dents and some without insurance, for their child to walk out of school so they can drive them home. We do; they don't.

We take our kids to church and school programs. They don't. We worry about paying medical bills or how to handle retiring on Social Security. They don't. We worry about high utility bills. They worry about their airplane or their plastic surgery.

These actors and actresses from Hollywood look down on us and scold us, we the people, who live in the real world in middle America. They act like descendants from Mt. Olympus, stooping down low and condescending to speak to common folks to try and save us from ourselves. If only we "deplorable" voters could see the light, then we could become like them. But they don't see how arrogant and out of touch they really are.

Nope. I don't choose to worship idols. I hold old-fashioned values. I cling to my guns and hold on to my Bible. I bow my head to pray over my meals and I uphold the family traditions that made America great.

Even if I did have a lot of money, I would never choose to live in their moral bankruptcy nor be ambivalent about America.

I don't want intellectual elitists to ever take control of America. That happened already in the Soviet Union. It destroyed their nation and it exported the cult of communism to the detriment and the death of millions of people. I'd rather have farmers, merchants, soldiers, or teachers run our nation.

I want people who reverence God and appreciate our unique national history to be in charge. I'm glad a macho man won the election.

As our 45th President takes the Oath of Office, I will be praying for his success. I will ask the Lord to keep him safe, to keep him humble, and give him wise advisers. I want him to boost our economy and prevent our enemies from attacking us.

There is only so much that any one leader can do. There are things we as citizens must do. As parents we can do three things: keep the covenant, honor God, and raise the kids.

I hope that Mr. Trump will stick to his values and implement his vision and fight to make America great again. Like Ross Perot once said to some Washington politicians, "Defend the Country. Deliver the mail. And leave us alone."
