Altrusa International

Altrusa meets at the River Grille in Bentonville the first and third Tuesdays of the month. This is an international women's organization whose focus is children's literacy.

Bass Club

The Bass Club is a catch-and-release bass-fishing club that holds monthly draw tournaments on Bella Vista's two largest lakes from March through November. The club promotes a friendly environment for anglers of all ages. They fish a team format with boaters and nonboaters paired together, weigh in a five-fish bag limit, and receive the same points for the position in which they finish.

The club meets at 7 p.m. the first Thursday of the month at Riordan Hall, 3 Riordan Dr., Bella Vista.

Photography Club

Next year, the club will have two meetings per month. The monthly meeting will be on the third Tuesday of the month combined with an informational forum. The second meeting will be a photo walk with members to take photos from instruction received at last forum.

The first meeting for 2017 will be at 6 p.m. Jan. 17 at the Bentonville Library. Anyone interested in photography is invited to attend.

Bike Club

The Bella Vista Bike Club is an informal group of road cyclists who enjoy riding together. The only rule is that helmets are required on all rides. Club members come in a wide variety of ages and skill levels. The monthly ride calendar can be found at bellavistabikeclub.com. The bike club is active year round and may be addictive and beneficial to your health.

Decorative Artists

The Bella Vista Decorative Artists chapter meets the second Saturday at Wishing Spring Gallery Studio, 8862 W. McNelly Road, Bentonville (behind Walgreen's). The meetings are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and include a business meeting and painting session.

The chapter goal is to stimulate interest and appreciation for the art of painting. All skill levels are welcome.

Needlework Club

The Bella Vista Needlework Club meets at 10 a.m. every Monday morning at Riordan Hall. The group includes those who knit, crochet, cross-stitch, weave, quilt or do various kinds of needlework. There is plenty of room, large tables and light.

Those without a POA photo ID card will need to pay $2.25 at the desk. The annual group fee is $2. The first Monday of each month the club has a meeting and refreshments.

Radio Club

The Bella Vista Radio Club will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, at Highland Christian Church, 1500 Forest Hills Blvd. The January meeting will feature a program on portable solar power co-presented by Devon Johnston and Darryl Waggoner. All licensed amateur radio enthusiasts or prospective hams are welcome. The BVRC meets the first Thursday of each month.

Sunrise Rotary Club

The Bella Vista Sunrise Rotary Club has a breakfast meeting at 7 a.m. every Wednesday at the Concordia Main Building, 1 Concordia Drive, Bella Vista. Guests are welcome. At the Jan. 4 meeting, CPA Mike Moles will discuss taxes.

Woodcarvers Club

The Woodcarvers Club meets Thursdays from 1 to 3 p.m. at Riordan Hall. Guests are welcome, and new members are accepted for a nominal yearly fee. Bella Vista has some very talented carvers and wood burners willing to teach anyone the art of carving or wood burning. The group is a nonprofit organization. Women's Chorus

Do you love to sing? Bella Vista Women's Chorus invites singers from the area to join them. All are welcome with no tryouts or experience needed. Directed by Dr. Larry Zehring, BVWC performs classical, pop, folk and show tunes for local clubs and events. The chorus rehearses Mondays at 12:45 p.m. in the music room of the Bella Vista First United Methodist Church.

Butterfield Trails Questers No. 949

The next meeting will be held Monday, Jan. 23, at the home of Jill Werner. The program will be given by Jeanne Stokebrand on Japanese internment camps in Arkansas.

Questers are an international organization that encourages the preservation and restoration of antiques. One of the missions of Questers is to preserve the past for the future.

Iota Alpha chapter, Beta Sigma Phi

The Iota Alpha chapter of Beta Sigma Phi will meet at the Bella Vista home of Sharon Reeves at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11. For the service project, each member will bring an international phone card and a valentine to be sent to members of our military stationed overseas.

The social will be at Judy Freytag's house Thursday, Jan. 26, for lunch and bunco. The next meeting will be Wednesday, Feb. 8.

Kingsdale Squares

The Kingsdale Squares will dance at Riordan Hall at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9. Johnny Eubanks will be the caller.

Lessons also begin Jan. 9 at Riordan Hall in Bella Vista, from 5:45 until 7 p.m. There will be 10-12 lessons depending on how the group progresses. The cost is $35 with the first two lessons free.

Ladies Day Out

Ladies Day Out will start 2017 with the annual Bingo Game and Luncheon at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, at Concordia Retirement Center in Bella Vista, AR.
