Bella Vista Lutheran Church

Looking for a relaxed, casual worship experience? You are welcome to the Saturday night service at 5:37 p.m. at Bella Vista Lutheran Church.

The Men's Discipleship Class meets every Monday at 1 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. Please park in the rear parking lot and enter the lower level.

The Shepherd's Food pantry is in need of donations of diapers sizes 3, 4 and 6. A container for donations is in the church narthex. The pantry is open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Friday.

The Lutheran Hour is broadcast each Sunday at 12:30 p.m. on radio station KURM-FM (100.3).

Presbyterian Church

Members of the church will gather at Highland Healthcare and Rehab at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, for a sing-along. Come to visit and sing with the residents.

The community is invited to a traditional worship service Sunday at 10 a.m. Christian Education classes for all ages meet at 8:30 a.m. A nursery attendant is available. New friends are always welcome.

PCBV's Helping Hands Work Day is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 11. Please sign up at the Information Center if you can volunteer some time at Helping Hands in Bentonville.

Members of the church will join the residents of Concordia Care Center for worship at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, and again at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13, for worship with the participants at Village House. Both groups especially enjoy this time of fellowship.

An Adult Study Group meets at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, in the parlor. Come and learn what it is all about.

Members of the Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista will be delivering Meals on Wheels in Bella Vista during February. Please sign up at the Information Center if you can help.

An exercise group meets at 8 a.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Friday in Fellowship Hall for 45 minutes of low-impact exercising and walking. There is no charge, and it is open to the public.

Village Bible Church

Wednesday, the Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to noon. This ministry is available to anyone in the area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragement of friendly volunteers. The potluck fellowship dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m., and the community is always welcome. Dessert will be provided by Don and Betty Rogan in honor of their 60th wedding anniversary. At 6:30 p.m., there will be singing, devotions and prayer for adults with activities also held for children. Mark and Jamie Farran, missionaries on staff with EFCA ReachGlobal, will be the special guests this evening and will provide an update about their ministry in Bucharest, Romania. A love offering will be received for them. Nursery for infants and toddlers is available.

Thursday, a Bible study on the book of Matthew taught by Dr. Ron Morris will meet at 6:30 p.m. Men and women in the community are welcome, and newcomers may join the study at any time.

Sunday, Growth Group classes are offered for all ages at 9 a.m. followed by the 10:15 a.m. worship service. Pastor Mark Voll will continue his sermon series titled "Life Application from Romans." This week's sermon title is "What God's Law Reveals" with a text of Romans 3:1-31. Infant and toddler nursery and Children's Church for kids are offered as well.

Tuesday, the Ladies' Bible Study titled "Prayer: Essential to a Fruitful Christian Life," written and led by Joanne Morris, will be held at 9 a.m. Women from the community are welcome to attend, and a free study guide will be provided. A ladies' KniTTogether ministry and the White Cross Women's Mission ministry also meet at 7 p.m.

Unity Church of the Ozarks

Sunday, the Rev. Elise Cowan presents "Son of Man, Metaphysically Speaking." Come as they share their Oneness. Refreshments and good fellowship follow the service.

A new Sunday 9 to 10 a.m. weekly Meditation Practices class takes place Feb. 12. Use of mantras, guided meditation, using the five senses and other methods to benefit daily life will be discussed.

Standing in Peace takes place after the service the second Sunday of each month. Join them as they hold the vision to assist in Manifesting Peace for the world.

Prayer team meets the first Sunday every month. A committed group of people serve by holding in prayer those who request prayer support. If a prayer need arises for you or another, please leave a message at [email protected] and the prayer team will be notified.

Wednesday Evening Group Discussion and Meditation class will revolve around Charles Fillmore's metaphysical book "The Twelve Powers of Man." This discussion is around the 12 expressions of the divine power inherent in each of us. The "Power of Faith" will be followed with a 20-minute meditation.

The award-winning presentation "Love Thy Nature" will be shown for movie night at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17. This movie, narrated by Liam Neeson, is a cinematic journey through the beauty and intimacy of our vital relationship with the natural world. And it shows that a renewed connection with nature is key not only to our well being, but also to solving our climate and environmental crises. The movie trailer can be viewed online.

Highland Christian(Disciples of Christ)

Highland Christian Church meets for worship with communion at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday. Sunday School classes start at 9 a.m. offering four adult studies and creative worship for youth.

Friday, Feb. 10, come to the "Happening Place" Let Us Entertain You and Chili/Soup Supper event at 6 p.m. All are welcome.

The Disciple Women Celebration is at 10 a.m Saturday, Feb. 11, and features Heather Corporan and a presentation on The Village House, a nonprofit Adult Day Care Program providing social, recreational, educational and care-giving opportunities for participants. The goal is to maintain and enhance the quality of life for both the clients and the caregiver.

Unitarian Universalists

The Unitarian Universalists of Benton County meet at 1110 S.E. Evergreen St. (Little Einstein Montessori School) in Bentonville, near the southeast corner of 14th and J streets. The Sunday service, which begins at 11 a.m., is preceded by coffee and social time beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Sunday, Feb. 12, offers an opportunity to discuss recent talks: "Sharing Hope" and "Grace Without God."

Sunday School is available for children through age 15. A Unitarian Universalists adaptation of Jerome Berryman's book "Spirit Play" is the primary resource. The morning is structured based on the Montessori approach. As in Montessori, the key elements are the classroom environment and the teachers. These elements free the children to work at their own pace on their own activities after an initial lesson.

Highlands Church

The Student Ministry is sponsoring their annual Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser at 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb 12. This is a donation event, and funds raised help send students on Summer Mission Trips and other special events. Please call the church office to register.

A church-wide, eight-week Lenten Growth Group/Sermon Emphasis called "The Way" by Adam Hamilton begins March 4. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Bella Vista Community Church

Come for worship at 9:30 a.m. Sunday mornings with coffee fellowship before and after the service. Pastor Jeff Reed will be preaching Sunday. Adult Bible Study starts at 8 a.m. A staffed nursery is available as well as children's worship for ages 4-12.

St. Bernard Church

Caring Friends, a grief share seminar, will meet at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, in classroom 205. Each session will include a video, group discussion and personal study. There is no charge to participate. The class is open to anyone, not just St. Bernard members.

The St. Bernard's Men's Club will have a breakfast meeting at 7:30 a.m Saturday, Feb. 11., in the Parish Hall.

Sunday-Afternoon Crafters will meet at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, in the office meeting room.

There will be pinochle in the Parish Hall at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13.

Do you feel alone and hurting from a past abortion? Then come join a post-abortion support group called Project Rachel. A group will be forming in the Fayetteville/Rogers area. Forest Hills Church welcomes people of all faiths to worship this Sunday at 10:45 a.m. Pastor Mark Kirby will deliver his message, "Helping and Loving Others," from Titus 3:1-8. The adult Sunday School class begins at 9:45 a.m. and the Prayer and Bible Study is led by Mark Kirby on Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m.

Bella Vista Baptist Church

Sunday Morning Services include 8:30 a.m. contemporary worship, 9:45 a.m. Bible Study/Sunday School, 11 a.m. traditional worship and 5 p.m. evening worship in the old sanctuary.

Wednesdays, the evening meal begins at 4:45 p.m. Children's choirs meet at 5:30. The Wednesday Evening Prayer meeting is held at 5:45 in the old sanctuary. There are youth activities Wednesdays starting at 6 p.m. and AWANA meets at 6:15.

The Men's Prayer Breakfast, every Tuesday at 6:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall, is studying the book of Romans.

Senior Adult Fun Day is at 1 p.m. the second Thursday of each month. Bring a favorite snack, a favorite game, and come for fun and fellowship.

The Senior Adult Ministries hosts "Ice Cream and a Movie" at 6 p.m. the fourth Friday of the month. All adults are welcome.

New Life Christian Church

New Life Christian Church offers three Sunday services: 8:30, 10 and 11:30 a.m. New Life Kids programming for children birth through fifth grade is offered in all three services. This includes a high-energy worship and large group time, followed by small group lessons.

New Life Students offers separate programming for teens. Seventh- and eighth-grade students will meet for "Emerge" from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sundays. "Engage" is designed especially for ninth- through 12th-graders, who gather on Wednesdays from 5 to 8 p.m. Any teen in the community is welcome to attend.

Sister2Sister Game and Fellowship Night will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17. Ladies of all ages are welcome.

Sign-ups for a new season of Life Groups is underway. These small group Bible studies meet in homes or at the church once a week. For more information, visit the church website.

First United Methodist Church

To help you keep some of those New Year's Resolutions, a new group -- Healthy Living -- is gathering from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. beginning Wednesday, Feb. 1, in Becker Hall. If possible, bring a healthy snack to share with each other, maybe a new recipe and ideas of what you would like to include in our discussions.

Midweek Manna begins Wednesday, Feb. 8. There's a meal starting at 5:30 p.m. Small group study and small craft and activity groups meet from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. Childcare is available for infants and toddlers. Pre-K through sixth grade will learn Bible basics through Bible stories, memorization of scripture and song. Youth Life, grades 7-12, will meet in the Youth Room.

It's time to begin working on Bazaar items. The first workshop is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, in the Craft Room. Bring a snack lunch if you plan to stay all day.

There will be a cooking class for children and youth at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, in Becker Hall. YouthLife will then have a fundraiser dinner at 6 p.m., feeding everyone with what they learned how to cook earlier in the day.

Men's Emmaus has formed a new group and will be meeting at 8:30 a.m. each Tuesday in room 22.

Two weekly meetings of AA are being hosted at the church on Monday and Saturday. Please call or stop by the church for more information.

Traditional services are held at 8 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. every Sunday, with a contemporary service at 9:30 a.m. Sunday school classes for all ages are also held at 9:30 a.m. Nursery is provided.

United Lutheran Church

At 8 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, Pastor Karen will lead a Bible study on the Old Testament. All are welcome.

There is an exercise class every Tuesday and Thursday at 8 a.m.

Piecemakers, a group who meets every Thursday at 9 a.m., make quilts for Lutheran World Relief. There are also tasks for non-sewers also, so please come join the fellowship.

Saturday, Feb. 11, the Simeon Shepherd Group meets at 9:30 a.m. at Papa Mike's. RSVP to Janssen or Sadenwasser, please. Also, United Singles will meet in ULC Fellowship Hall at 10:30 a.m. for snacks and games.
