A pair of home invasions were reported to Bella Vista police on Jan. 20.

A home on Kintyre Place was robbed, and a man broke into a home on Metfield Drive and physically assaulted the female resident.

Bella Vista police Capt. Tim Cook said that the department has been investigating these crimes, and does not believe they are related. Further, he said, the investigation is suggesting that the invasions were not aimed at specific people, but weren't random, either.

While these acts are under investigation, he said, the department cannot comment on them extensively, but he does not believe the people of Bella Vista should fear anything.

"There should be no sense of an alarm," he said. "As soon as we are able to close the investigations, we want to be able to provide the details to the public."
