Sci Fi Book Club
This group of science fiction lovers meet on the second Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m. Join them Wednesday, Aug. 9, as they discuss August's book, Brass Giant by Brooke Johnson.
Stampin' Up Card Making Class
On the second Saturday of the month, Jane Para teaches card making classes. She will be teaching tips and techniques using Stampin'Up supplies. Bring your basics: adhesive glue and scissors. Three cards for $15. There are two classes available on Saturday, Aug. 12, with one running from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and the other running from 1 to 3 p.m.
Teen Night
Join us from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18, as we enjoy an Amazing-Race-themed Teen Night. Ages 11 and up.
Eclipse-Viewing Party
The Great American Eclipse is coming to the Bella Vista Public Library! From Bella Vista we'll have a 92% partial eclipse. It's going to be an amazing sight and we hope you'll come out and join us from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 21 for a fascinating afternoon. The library will have eclipse glasses available for use.
Calling all Artists
We are currently accepting vendor applications for our 2017 Dickens Christmas. Creators of arts and crafts as well as tasty food are invited to apply to be in our first big Christmas event! For more information come by the library or visit our website www.bvpl.org.
Freegal Music
The library has Freegal Music! This service, available through our website, allows our patrons to listen to and download music for free! Using your library card you can access this service.
Rocket Languages
We offer Rocket Languages through our website. This language learning service offers online courses for 15 different languages. All you need is a library card to access it.
Check out a Kindle
Kindle Paperwhites and Kindle Fires are available for checkout to patrons in good standing. Each device is loaded with several books and may be checked out for three weeks. New books are added to each device every month. See library staff for the check-out agreement and procedure.

Encore Books
The Friends of the Library's used-book store is open six days a week during regular library hours. Everyday low pricing on hardbacks, DVDs, puzzles, children's books, paperbacks, biographies, health and wellness topics, and much, much more! All proceeds of this ongoing fundraiser support the library. New books are added almost daily.

Exhibits
August's displays are provided by Sunshine Morris. Anyone interested in displaying a collection should contact Rebecca at 479-855-1753.
Floral Arrangement
August's floral arrangement was designed and provided by Geri Hoerner of the Bella Vista Garden Club. Each month, a member of the Bella Vista Garden Club creates an original floral design to be displayed for patron enjoyment.
Hours of Operation
Regular library hours are 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with weekend hours of 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The Bella Vista Public Library is located just east of Town Center off Lancashire Blvd. (Highway 340 East, turn at the Bella Vista Baptist Church) at 11 Dickens Place.
