Special to The Weekly Vista

On April 11, Altrusa International of Bentonville/Bella Vista donated 100 children's books to the Bentonville Public Library. It is the 100th birthday of the International Organization.

Club members arrived at the start of the Library's Children's Story Hour and Altrusa Club President Peggy Rosenthal read a birthday story to the children. In return they sang happy birthday to Altrusa. Also on this day the club donated books to the Sunshine Development Center and School, and in March the club donated 100 children's books to the Bella Vista Library. This club's focus is children's literacy and they are working hard to make books available to as many children as possible.
