The Bella Vista Resource Advisory Council, staff, volunteers, and participating vendors welcome you to attend the 27th annual Senior Health Fair. The Event is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, at Riordan Hall in Bella Vista. Free shuttle transportation to and from the parking lots will be available to patrons. We look forward to another successful event! The theme for this year's Senior Health Fair is "Healthy Aging from A-Z."

Our goal is to provide educational opportunities to improve and maintain healthy aging. The Senior Health fair is a great way for older adults and their families to visit with health care providers, complete health screenings and find support services available in our community. Free Flu shots will be available to those with Medicare, Tri Care, or a Federal Employee plan. Please bring your Medicare card and pharmacy insurance card, as different plans require one or the other. If you are interested in a cholesterol check, you will need to fast before taking this test.

This event is brought to you by the Bella Vista Resource Advisory Council, the Property Owners Association, and The Weekly Vista in conjunction with the Schmieding Center for Education in Bella Vista. Continued support of the many vendors, the numerous volunteers and the community participants assures its continued success.

More than 60 vendors will be on hand to share information and educate you on everything from dermatology, hearing, senior housing, transportation, to elder law and estate planning. This is a great opportunity to meet and visit with vendors who provide services to seniors. We encourage you and your family to plan and prepare by being informed of the excellent services available in Northwest Arkansas.

In addition to the vendors, there will be two educational seminars. At 9:30 a.m., Betsy Broyles Arnold, with The Frank And Barbara Broyles Foundation, will share "Tips and Strategies for Day-to-Day Alzheimer's Care." At noon, Dr. Nally, Ozark Orthopedics in Fayetteville, will share information on "The Aging Spine."

You will not want to miss this free event! Concordia of Bella Vista is providing lunch for the vendors and the patrons of the fair. So come out and participate in the Health Fair activities, learn about new resources and take advantage of the educational seminars.
