Quilt fair winners

Over 160 antique and contemporary quilts were entered in the 39th Ozark Quilt Fair at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History in Springdale recently. Visitors to the quilt fair voted on their choices for the best antique and contemporary quilts exhibited.

The winner in the contemporary category was a "Home is Where the Art Is" quilt by Jan Murray Brown of Springdale. Jane Hammarstrom, of Bella Vista, won second with her "Star Flower" quilt. Third place was awarded to Tiffany Bowen of Springdale for her strip quilt.

In the antique category, a "Pieced Star" quilt owned by Mary Spilman, of Yellville, won first place. Second place went to a "Grandmother's Flower Garden" quilt owned by Victoria Newman of Springdale. Marti Olesen, of Ponca, won third place with a "Double Wedding Ring" quilt.
