St. Bernard Church

Mass is 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday. Daily Mass is 8:30 a.m on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Wednesday Mass is at 5 p.m. All are welcome to celebrate the liturgy of the Holy Eucharist with them.

At 9:30 a.m. on Thursdays, there will be a discussion group, "Get Ready for the Gospel," that helps prepare you for the upcoming Sunday readings. They meet in room 203 in the Parish Hall.

RCIA classes (adult education) are held at 7 p.m. every Wednesday in the parish hall. Come and learn more about the Catholic Faith.

There will be a potluck in the Hall for members of the Couples Golf Group Saturday, Oct. 30.

St. Bernard Women's Club will hold the 29th annual Holiday Bazaar (Return of the Penguins) from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at Parish Hall. Cinnamon rolls, homemade chili and chicken noodle soup, sandwiches and homemade pies will be served. Find many handmade items (table runners, advent wreaths, their famous penguins, etc.), boutique items and stocking stuffers. They will raffle a Fitbit and several handmade treasures.

Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista

The Book Club will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, in the parlor. For information about this group, call 479-876-2547.

The Ladies Birthday Lunch group for all women wanting to celebrate those having a birthday during this month will meet at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28. Please sign up at the Information Center to learn the location of this month's luncheon or call 479-876-5942.

The community is invited to a traditional worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday. Christian Ed classes meet at 8:30 a.m. A nursery attendant is available. New friends are always welcome.

The third Sunday of each month, funds are collected for the Cents-Ability Hunger Program sponsored by the Presbyterian Women. The collection container is located in the connector hallway.

Sweaters and light-weight jackets are again being collected for the Salvation Army to give to needy recipients at Christmas time. A box is located in the connector hallway for clean, gently worn sweaters and jackets.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church

The Quilters will meet at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26.

The Friendly Stitchers meet at 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27.

There will be only one worship service Sunday, Oct. 30, at 9 a.m.

Trunk or Treat at Bella Vista Lutheran Church will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

The Men's Discipleship Class is held every Monday at 1 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. Please park in the back parking lot and enter the lower level.

After a loss of a loved one, friends and family often want to help but don't know how. For that reason, Grief Share is held at 6 p.m. every Wednesday in the church library. Call Dorothy Jones at 479-366-1700 if you have questions .

Choir rehearsals are at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays.

The Shepherd's Food Pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. They are now collecting items for the Thanksgiving bag. Monetary donations are welcome to help pay for the turkeys and roasting chickens. A container for your donations is in the church narthex.

The Lutheran Hour starts at 12:30 p.m. each Sunday on KURM-FM (100.3).

Village Bible Church

Wednesday, the Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to noon. This ministry is available to anyone in the area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragement of friendly volunteers. A potluck fellowship dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. At 6:20, there will be singing, devotions and prayer for adults. Activities will also be held for children. Nursery for infants and toddlers is available, and the community is invited.

Thursday, a Bible study on the book of Matthew taught by Dr. Ron Morris will meet at 6:30 p.m. Men and women in the community are welcome, and newcomers may join the study at any time.

Sunday, Growth Group classes are offered for all ages at 9 a.m. followed by the 10:15 a.m. worship service. Pastor Mark Voll will begin his sermon series titled "Five Essential Character Qualities for Christians." This week's sermon title is "Fear-conquering Faith" with a text of Psalms 34:1-7. Infant and toddler nursery and Children's Church for kids are offered as well.

Tuesday, a Ladies' Bible Study titled "Prayer: Essential to a Fruitful Christian Life," written and led by Joanne Morris, will be held at 9 a.m. Women from the community are welcome to attend. A free study guide will be provided. Call the church office for more information. At 7 p.m. a men's Bible study led by Dr. Ron Morris will meet. A ladies' KniTTogether ministry and the White Cross Women's Mission ministry also meet at 7 p.m.

Highland Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

Choir practice starts at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26. 10 a.m. Bible study resumes at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2.

Sunday, the elders meet at 8:30 a.m. Sunday School begins at 9 a.m. and is followed at 10 by the morning service. The Rev. Paul Seal will present "The Sick Need to be Restored to Health" with text from Matthew 25:36.

Unitarian Universalists

The Unitarian Universalists of Benton County are located at 1110 S.E. Evergreen St. (Little Einstein Montessori School) in Bentonville, near the southeast corner of Southeast 14th and J streets. The Sunday service, which begins at 11 a.m., is preceded by coffee and social time beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Sunday, Oct. 30, features the monthly potluck and a discussion of issues of special interest to the friends and members of the Unitarian Universalists of Benton County.

Sunday School is available for children through age 15. A Unitarian Universalist adaptation of Jerome Berryman's book "Spirit Play" is the primary resource. The morning is structured based on the Montessori approach. As in Montessori, the key elements are the classroom environment and the teachers. These elements free the children to work at their own pace on their own activities after an initial lesson.

Highlands Church

Highlands Church Fall Festival will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28. There will be lots of fun activities, costume contest, bouncy house, games, candy and more. All church members, friends, family and the public are welcome.

A Veteran's Day program, "Thankful for the USA," will be performed by students from Monitor Elementary School in Springdale at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at the church. Please come join them as we honor America's veterans.

The JAM Adult Sunday School Class meets from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. every Sunday. JAM class will be doing a six-week study entitled "The Trouble with the Truth" from Nov. 6 to Dec. 18. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Forest Hills Church

Forest Hills Church welcomes people of all faiths to worship this Sunday at 10:45 a.m. Retired pastor Mark Kirby will deliver his sermon, "Mr. Chairman, I Nominate..." from Matthew 27:22. The adult Sunday School class begins at 9:45 a.m. and the Prayer and Bible Study is led by Mark Kirby on Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m.

Unity Church of the Ozarks

Come at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, as guest speaker the Rev. Dian Williams presents "Fearless Living." Stay after the service for refreshments and fellowship. Prayer Team meets after the service at 12:15 p.m. in the sanctuary, holding in prayer those who have requested prayer support as well as a vision to assist in manifesting peace for our world.

The Masonic Philosophical Society meets at 1 p.m. on the last Saturday of the month to question individual and universal mysteries and discuss subjects important to humanity.

New Life Christian Church

New Life Christian Church offers three Sunday services: 8:30, 10 and 11:30 a.m. "James: Faith that Works" is the title of the new message series. New Life Kids programming for children birth through fifth grade is offered in all three services. This includes a high-energy worship and large group time, followed by small group lessons.

New Life Students offers separate programming for teens. Seventh- and eighth-grade students will meet for "Emerge" from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sundays. "Engage" is designed especially for ninth- through 12th-graders, and they gather on Wednesdays from 5 to 8 p.m. Any teen in the community is welcome to attend.

A Halloween Party will be held for all teens in the community in grades 7-12 at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28.

Side By Side Senior Single Ladies will take a trip to see the fall foliage in Eureka Springs on Wednesday, Oct. 26. The group will carpool from the church at 9:30 a.m. Anyone interested is going can call the church office at 479-855-1616.

New Life Christian will host a Trunk or Treat from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, on the church parking lots for all children and families. There will be games, candy and fun for everyone.

Bella Vista Community Church

Come for worship at 9:30 a.m. Sunday mornings with coffee fellowship before and after the service. Pastor Anna Teel will be preaching Sunday. Adult Bible Study starts at 8 a.m. A staffed nursery is available as well as children's worship for ages 4-12.

The community is invited every Wednesday to the church chapel from 11 a.m. to noon as the church prays for unity in the country, for first responders, and for the leaders. Come as you are, and attend as it fits your schedule.

Hope Happens Here Cancer Support Group will meet at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, in the parlor.

Diabetes Support Group will meet at 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28, in McKay Hall. The community is invited to attend a presentation, "Managing Diabetes: The Next Step with an A1C Champion," by special guest Henry Bryan. Come to this session to learn about managing diabetes from a real patient with real A1C control providing real inspiration.

The church will host an A-MAZE-ING Trunk or Treat celebration from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, in their parking lot. A maze of cars decorated with spiritual inspiration will delight children along with games, gifts and candy.

Prayer Fellowship meets at 9:15 a.m. every Wednesday in the conference room.

Wednesday night activities include 6 p.m. pizza and 6:30 p.m. Bible study for children and youth.

Blood pressure checks are available to the community from 9 a.m. to noon each Wednesday in the nurse's office.

New Wine Ministry

The regular services will resume at 5:30 p.m Saturday, Oct. 29, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, with Pastor Vincent Xavier bringing the Word. Pastor Patricia Xavier leads a round-table discussion and a teaching on deliverance on Thursdays at 7 p.m.

New Wine Ministry is non-denominational with a mission of perfecting the Body of Christ in all richness of giving, kindness, talents, and resources. Pastor Vincent teaches biblical prophecy, preparing people and warning a nation. It is located behind the Boys and Girls Club and the Funeral Home. Call 1-858-864-8712.
