HIWASSE -- The annual Hiwasse Fall Festival will be held Saturday, Oct. 22. Festival activities, including a trunk or treat event, are planned from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 13680 Firehouse Lane.
A picnic meal of hot dogs, chips and drinks will be served for $5, and musical entertainment will be provided by the OK Country band.
Inflatables will be set up for the children's enjoyment, and they can also participate in painting pumpkins.
A favorite event among the adults will be the annual chili cook off. Tasters will pay $1 to purchase samples and vote for their favorite entry. A $50 prize will be awarded for the winning pot of chili. Anyone wishing to enter the chili cook off should call 479-531-0472.
