Kirby Nativity-scene collection on display

The Bella Vista Historical Museum will host Pat and Mark Kirby at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, when they present a program about their collection of 700 Nativity scenes, representing over 30 different countries. A few of the Nativity scenes which will be on display at the museum in December.

The Kirbys started their collection when her parents gave them their first set as a gift on their first wedding anniversary in the 1970s. Some of the creches are gifts, including some from people they have never met.

"People are linked by their love for what the scene represents," Pat said.

The museum, located at the corner of U.S. Highway 71 and Kingsland Road, next door to the American Legion, and is open from noon to 4:00 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays, with free admission. See www.bellavistamusem.org for more information about the museum and check the museum's Facebook page.
