The staff of the Bella Vista Animal Shelter has two ways to join into the season of giving, manager Lauri May said.
First, a popular fundraiser is returning for Christmas -- "Santa Paws." It's a simple idea to satisfy the hard-to-buy-for. Make a donation to the shelter in the name of someone on your list and that person will get a special Christmas card with all the information and a copy of the Shelter's newsletter.
On Facebook, the Shelter is running a "Give Me Five" campaign. According to the post, if enough money is raised in the next 15 days, the shelter dogs will have an party, "complete with extra treats, extra belly rubs, and extra play time." A video of the party will be posted on Facebook.
The shelter, located on Bella Vista Way, close to the Missouri border, also has a "Bone-Tique" where shoppers can can find collars, leashes, cat beds, toys and other pet related items.
