Christian Country artist Justin Todd Herod will appear in concert at First Baptist Church in Hiwasse at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4.
Based in Palestine, Texas, Herod is one of America's top Christian Country artists and songwriters. He has appeared on TBN and GMC TV, sharing the stage with such artists as The Oak Ridge Boys, Guy Penrod, Marty Rabon and Ken Holloway.
The son of a baptist preacher, Herod spent his defiant younger years performing country music in Texas bars and experiencing the wilder side of life. As the years flew by and his life began to spin out of control, Herod ran further away from God, only to find that nothing else could offer the peace that he knew as a boy. Finally, he returned to the strongest love of his life - Jesus Christ.
For the past 20 years, he has traveled the country sharing his faith through music and testimony. He has worked with several ministry organizations, including the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Chuck Colson Prison Ministries. An award winning musician, Justin has earned endorsements from Fender USA, Takamine, Looney Custom and Larrivee Guitars.
