Spring plant sale a success

The Bella Vista Garden Club would like to thank all of its most generous supporters for a successful Spring Plant Sale. Proceeds from the sale go towards scholarships for horticulture students and beautification efforts in the city including the Veterans Wall of Honor, the Blue Star Memorial at the Visitors Center, the Bella Vista Library, the Memorial Gardens at the Bella Vista Cemetery and continued efforts to blanket the city with Bella Vista daffodils.

A huge thank you to Kitty Casanova and all the guys at Village Waste Water for continued use of their facility where we store our plants, do all of our potting and host the Spring Plant Sale. A hearty thanks to John Fuller of Above the Rest Landscaping for his generous donations, and a very special thank you to the Benton County Master Gardeners for their donation of plants. There were several residents of Bella Vista who graciously dropped off plants during April at VWW and even one generous lady who surprised us all by dropping off over 60 beautifully potted African violets as we finished our sale set up on Friday before the sale.

The BVGC has dozens of members who worked tirelessly to put this sale together and offer close to 2,000 plants to the public at the sale. An amazing group of folks.

Mark your calendars now for Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, for our annual Fall Plant Sale at Allen's grocery parking lot.
