Bella Vista Ladies Bunco Club

Kingsdale Squares

The Kingsdale Squares will have a dance on Monday, May 23, at Riordan Hall at 7 p.m. Johnny Eubanks will be the caller for the evening. There will be a plus workshop at 6:30 p.m., prior to the dance. All square dancers are invited to join in.

Bella Vista PEOs

The Bella Vista PEO chapters are hosting a Tea and Fashion Show on Saturday, May 21, at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista, 20 Boyce Drive. Fashions will be provides by Belk and will be modeled by PEO members from the six Bella Vista chapters. Music will be by Susan Drummond. Carrie Owens, a PEO Scholarship recipient, will be the guest speaker. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children 12 and under. Funds raised will be used to endow the Jean Fitch Justice PCE Scholarship at Cottey College in Nevada, Mo. PEO is a worldwide philanthropic educational organization of women who empower women's education.

Calico Cut-ups Quilt Guild

The Calico Cut-ups Quilt Guild will meet May 23 at 11:30 a.m. in Becker Hall of the First United Methodist Church, 20 Boyce Dr., Bella Vista. There will be a Tea Party Luncheon starting at 11:30 a.m. followed by a decoupage demonstration, then the meeting and show and tell. Those attending whose last name is A-F are to bring desserts; last names beginning with G-M bring finger sandwiches; and last names beginning with N-Z bring a salad.

"Sharpening on Site of NWA" will be in the parking lot of the church ready to sharpen pinking shears ($10); scissors ($6) or knives ($4). They will be ready by the end of the meeting or sooner.

The fat quarter drawing will be stripes.

Kansas Sunflower Club

The Kansas Sunflower Club will meet Monday, May 23, at 11 a.m. at the Highand Christian Church, 1500 Forest Hills Blvd. Park in the north parking lot and use the north door of the church. This month a member, Anne Tramposh, will sing and give an inspirational speech. Those attending should bring a pot luck salad or dessert and $3 for pizza, pop and/or coffee.

All former Kansas residents are welcome to attend all club meetings the fourth Monday of each month. There are no dues.

Hill 'N Dale Hiking Club

The Hill 'N Dale Hiking Club of Bella Vista will hike the Beacham Trail around Lake Leatherwood near Eureka Springs on May 25. The hike is four miles. Most of the trail is easy, but there are some moderate sections. This is the final scheduled hike for the club's spring season. Members will depart from the Harps parking lot in Bella Vista at 8:30 a.m. Non-members are invited.

Bella Vista Bluebird Society

The Bella Vista Bluebird Society will host its annual meeting for the public at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 26, in the Mercy Clinic Community Room at 1 Mercy Way, near Cooper Elementary School. Come in the main entrance to the clinic -- the Community Room is on the right. The meeting is open to the public and refreshments will be served. This is a good opportunity to learn more about attracting and enjoying bluebirds.

Retired Nurses

The Retired Nurses of NWA will meet on Tuesday, May 31, at the Northwest Medical Center of Bentonville, 3000 Medical Center Parkway, in classroom B. Lunch will be available in the Allspice Cafe at 11:15 a.m. This is optional and may be brought across the hall to the classroom. The meeting will begin at noon. All retired and interested nurses are welcome.

Bella Vista Art Club

The Bella Vista Art Club meets the second Tuesday of each month at 1 p.m. at the Wishing Spring Gallery on McNelly Road. Each month one of the exhibitors from the Gallery discusses the process and product they show and sell at the Wishing Spring Gallery, which is sponsored by the Art Club.

Each fall the BVAC also sponsors the Bella Vista Arts and Crafts Festival, and the proceeds go to fund art scholarships and grant to local elementary schools to further the arts and education. The meeting is open to the public and information regarding membership is available at the meeting. All are welcome.

Bella Vista Bike Club

The Bella Vista Bike Club is an informal group of cyclists who enjoy riding together. There is a president and social director, but no bylaws. The only rule is that helmets are required on all rides. Bella Vista Needlework Club

The Bella Vista Needlework Club meets at Riordan Hall every Monday morning at 10 a.m. The group includes those who knit, crochet, cross-stitch, weave, quilt or do various kinds of needlework. There is plenty of room, large tables and light. Those without a POA photo ID card will need to pay $2.25 at the desk. The annual group fee is $2. The first Monday of each month the club has a meeting and refreshments.

Bass Club

The Bass Club is seeking new members. This catch-and-release bass-fishing club holds monthly draw tournaments on Bella Vista's two largest lakes from March through November. The club promotes a friendly environment or anglers of all ages. They fish a team format with boaters and non-boaters paired together, weigh in a 5-fish bag limit, and receive the same points for the position in which they finish. The cub meets the first Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. at Riordan Hall, 3 Riordan Drive, Bella Vista.

Bella Vista Decorative Artists

The Bella Vista Decorative Artists chapter meets the second Saturday at Wishing Spring Gallery Studio, 8862 W. McNelly Road, Bentonville (behind Walgreens).

The meetings are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and include a business meeting and painting session. The chapter goal is to stimulate interest and appreciation for the art of painting. All skill levels are welcome.
