Diabetic Empowerment Education free at Schmieding Center

Schmieding Center facilitator Rene' Oliver will help people with diabetes learn how to live a healthier life during six fun classes. In these classes participants will:

• Find out how diabetes affects the body

• Make sense of blood sugar numbers

• Meet others who share diabetes struggles

• Have fun learning in a small group through games, activities and supportive conversations

• Learn about diabetes through classes located in the community.

The class will be small, so you will have plenty of time to ask questions and learn more from others class participants.

Classes take place on Tuesdays - July 12, 19, and 26 at Highland Crossing Building, and Aug. 2, 9 and 16 at Schmieding Center, 1801 Forest Hills Blvd. Suite 123 in Bella Vista. All classes are from 1 to 3 p.m.
