Walter and Verana Steckel will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary July 30, 2016.
Walter Steckel and Verana Bosse were married in 1966, in Duluth, Kan., at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. They will celebrate with a cruise to the Baltic Sea and with a family gathering at a later date.
They have two children: Crystal Misiorowski and husband, Tom, of Grain Valley, Mo.; and James Steckel and wife, Becky, of Austin, Texas. They also have a grandson, Jacob Mosiorowski, of Grain Valley.
