Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista

The community is invited to worship with us for a traditional worship service on Feb. 7 at 10 a.m. Holy Communion will be served. A nursery attendant is available. New friends are always welcome.

A church potluck will follow the worship service. Please sign up at the Information Center.

An Adult Bible Study meets at 5:30 on Tuesday evening, Feb. 9, in the Fellowship Hall. A light supper is served. Please come to join the study group.

Ash Wednesday worship service with Holy Communion will be held in the sanctuary at noon on Feb. 10. The community is welcome to attend.

An exercise group meets at the church in the Fellowship Hall every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8 a.m. for 45 minutes of low-impact exercise and walking. Everyone in the community is welcome to participate at no charge.

Unitarian Universalists of Benton County

The Unitarian Universalists of Benton County are located at 1110 SE Evergreen St., in Little Einstein Montessori School in Bentonville, near the southeast corner of 14th and J streets. The Sunday service, which begins at 11 a.m., is preceded by coffee and social time beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Sunday, Feb. 7, retired United Methodist minister Sara Bainbridge, who believes strongly that creativity and spirituality are interconnected, will give a talk titled "Spirituality and Choices."

Sunday School is available for children through age 15. A Unitarian Universalist adaptation of Jerome Berryman's book, "Spirit Play" is the primary resource. The morning is structured based on the Montessori approach. As in Montessori, the key elements are the classroom environment and the teachers. These elements free the children to work at their own pace on their own activities after an initial lesson.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church

The Shepherd's Food pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. They have a special need of healthy cereal, such as plain Cheerios; steel-cut oatmeal is always needed for our special-needs clients. A shopping cart for your donations is in the entry of the old Fellowship Hall.

Highlands Church

The Student Ministry is sponsoring their annual Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser on Sunday, Feb. 14, at 5 p.m. This is a donation event and funds raised help send students on summer mission trips and other special events and outreach. To make reservations, call the church office. The reservation deadline is Feb. 11.

The JAM Adult Sunday School Class meets every Sunday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

Please help the church have a "Souper" Sunday by donating cans of soup prior to Super Bowl Sunday on Feb. 7. The cans of soup will be delivered to area food pantries. Drop-off containers are located in entrance foyers and entrance from Fellowship Hall leading to the church office. Get a few extra cans of soup next time you go grocery shopping.

Come for a five-week Lenten study entitled "ReLent." The study will begin Feb. 13 and will end March 18. There will be several small groups to choose from. Call the church office to sign up for one of the studies.

The next HUMMERS Blood Drive is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 24, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. There will be a free cholesterol screening.

Unity Church of the Ozarks

Eddie Watkins, acclaimed musician/song writer, will be performing Saturday, Feb. 6, at 3 p.m for a workshop called "Creating Your Own Musical Affirmation." Eddie will be presenting a concert 7 p.m. Saturday. Love offerings are $10. Eddie will be our guest speaker Sunday, Feb. 7, at 10:30 a.m. His message will be "I Heard You the First Time."

The prayer team meets after the service. We hold, in prayers, those who have requested support.

The interim Pastoral Care Minister is the Rev. Jan Huneycutt Lightner.

Rick Blough facilitates QiGong classes every Saturday, 9 a.m. Stay afterwards for a complimentary hands-on healing session.

Forest Hills Church

Forest Hills Church welcomes people of all faiths to worship with them. At this Sunday's 10:45 a.m. Worship Service, interim pastor Randall Terrill will preach "The Centerpiece of the Table" from Mark 14:22-26. They will also partake of The Lord's Supper as they do every first Sunday of the month. Their two adult Sunday School Classes begin at 9:45 a.m. The church also meet for Prayer and Bible Study every Wednesday at 12:30 p.m.

Bella Vista Baptist Church

The Wednesday Evening Meal is from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m.

Wednesday Evening Prayer Meeting is held at 5:45 p.m. in the old sanctuary.

Children's Choirs meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays and are followed by AWANA at 6:15 p.m.

There are youth activities Wednesdays starting at 6 p.m.

The Men's Prayer Breakfast is every Tuesday at 6:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. They are studying the book of Romans.

WOM meets at 9 a.m. on the first Wednesday of each month in Fellowship Hall.

Threads of Love gathers at 9:30 a.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month in Room 143B.

Bella Vista Community Church

Worship begins at 9:30 a.m. Sunday mornings with coffee fellowship before and after the service. Pastor Jeff Reed will be preaching Sunday, Feb. 7. Adult Bible Study starts at 8 a.m., and a staffed nursery is available as well as Children's Worship for ages 4-12 during the worship service.

Growing through Grief support group will meet Thursday, Feb. 4, at 3:30 p.m. in the parlor.

Hope Happens Here cancer support group will meet Thursday, Feb. 11, at 3:30 p.m. in the parlor

Join us for Lenten Meditations Wednesdays Feb. 10 -- March 16. A soup supper will be served from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. in McKay Hall. The Lenten Meditation begins at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. Please call the church office if you would like to attend the meal. A suggested donation of $3 per person or $5 per family will be collected on Wednesday evening.

Wednesday Night Activities include 6 p.m. pizza and 6:30 p.m. Bible study for children and youth.

Blood pressure checks are available to the community each Wednesday in the nurse's office from 9 a.m. to noon. This service is also available the last Sunday of each month at 9 a.m. in the parlor.

Prayer Fellowship meets every Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. in the conference room.

Village Bible Church

Wednesday, Feb. 3, the Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This ministry is available to anyone in the area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragement of friendly volunteers. A potluck fellowship dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m.: The community is always welcome. The dinner is followed at 6:20 p.m. by singing, devotions and prayer for adults with activities also held for children. Nursery for infants and toddlers is available and the community is invited.

Thursday, Feb. 4, a Bible study in the book of Job will meet at 6:30 p.m. Men and women in the community are welcome, and newcomers may join the study at any time.

Sunday, Feb. 7, Growth Group classes are offered for all ages at 9 a.m. followed by the 10:15 a.m. Worship Service, and of course the community is welcomed. Pastor Mark Voll will continue his sermon series titled "AHA -- Awakening, Honesty, Action," digging deep into Luke 15:11-32. This week's sermon title is"Immediate Action" with a text of Luke 15:17-24. Infant and toddler nursery and Children's Church for kids are offered as well.

St. Bernard Catholic Church

The Sunday morning Mass for Sunday, Feb. 7, will be at 9 a.m. and the vigil service takes place on Saturday, Feb. 6, at 5 p.m.

The penitential season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 10, with Mass at 9 a.m. and a second service that same evening at 6 p.m.

Distribution of ashes will take place during each service. Also in conjunction with the Lenten season, the Stations of the Cross devotional service will take place each Friday during Lent beginning Friday, Feb. 12 at 4:30 p.m.

Following the Stations of the Cross on Friday, Feb. 12, the Knights of Columbus will host a Fish Fry in the Parish Hall. The fish fry is open to the public and tickets are $10 person. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
