Special to The Weekly Vista

The Bella Vista Fly Tyers Club participated in the Property Owners Association-sponsored Sports Swap on April 16 at Riordan Hall. The Sports Swap allowed people to sell or purchase new or gently used sports and recreation items. Monies raised by selling items donated by members of the Fly Tyers will be used for improvements to the lakes in Bella Vista, in cooperation with the POA.

Efforts by the Fly Tyers were coordinated by Tom Diepenbrock with assistance from Ed Fischer, club president; Dan Bullock, vice president; Ken Hunter, secretary and Sports Swap treasurer; Joe Avila; and others.

The Bella Vista Fly Tyers Club is a fishing, conservation and service club consisting of approximately 180 members. The club promotes fishing, lakes, recreational activities and conducts service projects throughout Northwest Arkansas. The club meets every Thursday beginning at 9 a.m. at Riordan Hall in Bella Vista.
