Wylie's pabulum

Wylie's pabulum

I see that Sandy Wylie is still serving up her left-wing pabulum. She starts out by mentioning the value of negative campaigning while neglecting the fact that President Obama has spent more time at political events and on the golf course than moving the country ahead. Race relations today are much worse than when Obama took office, and some of the blame can be laid on what comes out of the White House.

I'm not a fan of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and I have read many editorials that support Obama and the left. The media had a gigantic love affair with the president during most of his reign, but sometimes they have to actually report the facts, and the facts are not always favorable to Obama.

I will agree that the president has not always been weak or ineffective. His policies have made the rich much richer and the poor much poorer. He has been extremely effective in thumbing his nose at the Constitution and ruling as if he is a king. He has done great harm to the most valuable asset of any society, the family. He has continued his fight to expand abortion and to take innocent human life.

He has turned his back on the genocide of Christians in the Middle East. He has made a deal of weakness with the devil in Iran, turned his back on allies in Syria and insulted the leader of our greatest Middle East ally, Israel. He shows weakness in battling America's enemies and strength when he fights against political foes or those nasty organizations like The Little Sisters of the Poor.

In the end Wylie mentions military installations around the world, the strength of our corporations and the power of trade agreements that have been around for decades. Those things have survived in spite of the Obama regime. They were in place when he arrived and thank God they are still hanging on.

It would have been nice if Wylie could have pointed out a real success under this president, but it is understandable that she had nothing to report.

The only thing President Obama has accomplished in my mind is that Jimmy Carter is no longer the worst president to have served in modern times.

Where's the money?

I see that the POA is trying to slip one past us again like they did with the city deal.

I just received my real estate and personal property tax bill and what a surprise. Both bills have Bella Vista Fire, Police, general fund and roads. I went to those meetings about making us a city and at that time they said that the POA would have surplus once things were done. So the POA keeps the water department, POA dues, membership I.D. cards, boat registration, lakes and golf courses. The way it looks, the POA pays the people VERY well or we can't support all the golf courses.

The POA is like a small business: you cut your losses or get somebody that can.

The only satisfaction that I have is that those people that thought having two governments is better than one have to pay all the extra taxes too. THANKS!
