Bella Vista Ladies Bunco Club

Pride of the Ozarks

The Pride of the Ozarks Barbershop Harmony Chorus will hold a guest night and open house on Thursday, April 21, at 7 p.m., at the Apple Blossom residence community room, 2501 N. 22 Street, Rogers. Any man who enjoys singing is welcome to attend.

Kingsdale Squares

The Kingsdale Squares will have a dance on Monday, April 25, at 7 p.m. Kenton Sullivan will be the caller for the evening. There will be a plus workshop at 6:30 p.m. prior to the dance. All square dancers are invited to join in. For more information, contact Bill Allen at 479-876-5066.

Calico Cut-Ups

The Calico Cut-Ups quilt guild will meet April 25, at 1 p.m., in Becker Hall of the First United Methodist Church, 20 Boyce Drive, Bella Vista. Speaker Jill Werner, from Bella Vista, will talk on "How to Build a Successful Stash." Jill has become nationally known for her ground-breaking use of quilted forms to create three-dimensional conceptual art. She is also known for her outstanding use of color, subtle sense of humor and thought-provoking social commentary. The vendor will be Blue Top Quilt Shop of Lamar, Mo. The Fat Quarter drawing is blue. Stack & Whack workshop will be held prior to the general meeting on the 25th. The class is free.

Hill 'N Dale Hiking Club

The Hill 'N Dale Hiking Club of Bella Vista will travel to Devil's Den State Park on April 21 for a day of hiking on easy to moderate (with some difficult) trails. Bring a sack lunch to eat in the park. Members will meet at Harps upper parking lot in Bella Vista at 8:30 a.m. Non-members are invited.

On April 27 they will travel to Lake Fort Smith for a day of hiking on the Ozark Highland Trail. The hike will be five to six miles on a moderate spur from Lake Fort Smith Visitor Center. Hikers are to bring a sack lunch to eat on the trail. Members will meet at the Harp's upper parking lot in Bella Vista at 8 a.m. Non-members are invited.

Kansas Sunflower Club

The Kansas Sunflower Club will meet Monday, April 25, at 11 a.m., at the Highland Christian Church, 1500 Forest Hills Blvd. Please park in the north parking lot and use the north door of the church.

Our Kansas Fun Time will start at 11:45 a.m. and last one hour, until 12:45. We are having Doyle Hoppert, a yodeling, singing cowboy and entertainer. Those attending should bring a small potluck salad or dessert and $3 for pizza.

All former Kansas residents are welcome to attend our Sunflower Club meetings the fourth Monday of each month. There are no dues.

Bella Vista Garden Club

The Bella Vista Garden Club will meet on Wednesday, April 27, at the United Lutheran Church, 100 Cooper Road, Bella Vista. A social gathering at 11 a.m. will be followed by a meeting at 11:30 a.m. and a light lunch.

The program will feature Beth Strickland, a Benton County Master Gardner, who will present her "Take Root" video segments of gardening how-to's and hints. In addition, Geri Hoerner will present an artistic design and Mary Doyle will conduct a Q&A for the season. The meeting is open to everyone interested in gardening.

Perfect Harmony Women's Barbershop Chorus meets every Monday at 7 p.m. in the choir room of the United Lutheran Church of Bella Vista. Director Karen Frankenfeld will find a part that fits your voice. No previous experience or tryouts are required.

Altrusa International of Bentonville/Bella Vista meets at the River Grill in Bentonville at 11:30 a.m. the first and third Tuesdays of the month. It is an international women's organization whose focus is children's literacy. All are welcome.

Bella Vista Needlework Club

The Bella Vista Needlework Club meets at Riordan Hall every Monday morning at 10 a.m. The group includes those who knit, crochet, cross-stitch, weave, quilt or do various kinds of needlework. There is plenty of room, large tables and light. Those without a POA photo ID card will need to pay $2.25 at the desk. The annual group fee is $2. The first Monday of each month, the club has a meeting and refreshments.

Bass Club

The Bass Club is seeking new members. This catch-and-release bass-fishing club holds monthly draw tournaments on Bella Vista's two largest lakes from March through November. The club promotes a friendly environment for anglers of all ages. The club fishes a team format with boaters and non-boaters paired together -- weighing in a 5-fish bag limit and receiving the same points for the position in which they finish. The cub meets the first Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. at Riordan Hall, 3 Riordan Drive, Bella Vista.

Bella Vista Decorative Artists

The Bella Vista Decorative Artists chapter meets the second Saturday of each month at Wishing Spring Gallery Studio, 8862 West McNelly Road, Bentonville (behind Walgreens). The meetings are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and include a business meeting and painting session. The chapter goal is to stimulate interest and appreciation for the art of painting. All skill levels are welcome.

Bella Vista Men's Chorus

The Bella Vista Men's Chorus, under the direction of John Matthews, holds rehearsals on Mondays at 6:30 p.m. in Becker Hall, at the United Methodist Church on Boyce.

A concert benefiting Village House will be held at the United Methodist Church on Sunday, May 15, at 3 p.m. Mini concerts will be held locally for Concordia, Ambassador Academy, Highlands Rehab, Brookfield Nursing Home and AARP. There will be fall concerts on Sept. 9 and 11 at Community Church. The chorus is always looking for more tenors, baritones and basses so come and join the fun.

Northwest Arkansas Coin Club

The Northwest Arkansas Coin Club meets the third Tuesday of each month at the Embassy Suites hotel (at Exit 83 off I-49) in Rogers from 6 to 9:30 p.m. It is seeking collectors of coins and currency to join for fun and entertainment each month.

Bella Vista Women's Chorus

The Bella Vista Women's Chorus has started a new season and invites singers from the tri--county area to join. All are welcome, with no tryouts or experience needed. Directed by Larry Zehring, the BVWC performs classical, pop, folk and show tunes for local clubs and events. The chorus rehearses Mondays at 12:45 p.m. in the music room of First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista.
