Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista

From 8 a.m. April 20 through noon April 2, a trailer from Care & Share of Gravette will be in the church's fellowship hall parking lot to receive good, usable items for donation. Receipts will be available for tax purposes. Call Gary at 479-426-9543 with any questions.

PW Missions Sewing has changed its name to The Cut-Ups to reflect the work it does to cut pattern pieces for clothing to be sewn. The group will meet on Thursday, April 21, at 9 a.m., in the fellowship hall. Bring your scissors and work with this group until lunch time.

An adult study group will meet on Thursday, April 21, at 9:30 a.m. in the parlor.

The community is invited for a traditional worship service on Sunday, April 24, at 10 a.m. A nursery attendant is available.

On the fourth Sunday of every month, food items are collected for the Helping Hands Food Pantry in Bentonville. This month the requested food items are powdered or canned milk and 100-percent fruit juices. Other food items or monetary donations are always welcome. The collection table is located in the connector hallway.

Members of the Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista are delivering Meals on Wheels during the month of April to residents in the community.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church

Parent's Night Out is April 20, starting at 5:30 p.m., with a light supper followed by games, crafts, songs and lots of fun.

Grief Share class continues on Tuesdays at 2 p.m. in the church library. This is a 13-week series led by Dorothy Jones. If you or someone you know has lost a loved one, please join this class. For further information, contact Dorothy Jones at 479-366-1700.

The Men's Discipleship class continues each Monday at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. in Classroom 3 downstairs. Please park behind the fellowship hall and enter through the basement door.

The Shepherd's Food Pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and it is asking for donations of healthy cereals. A container for donations is in the fellowship hall entry.

Choir rehearsal is on Wednesdays at 7 p.m.

The Sonshiners meet on April 21 at 9 a.m. and the Ladies Marathon Bridge is at 12:30 p.m.

Village Bible Church

Wednesday, April 20, the Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to noon. This ministry is available to anyone in the area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragement of friendly volunteers. A potluck fellowship dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m., and the community is always welcome. The dinner is followed at 6:20 p.m. with singing, devotions and prayer for adults, with activities also held for children. Bruce Hibbard will be the special guest that evening to share about his work with Shamineau Ministries, and a love offering will be taken. Nursery for infants and toddlers is available, and the community is invited.

Thursday, April 21, a Bible study on the book of Hosea will meet at 6:30 p.m. Men and women in the community are welcome, and newcomers may join the study at any time.

Sunday, April 24, Growth Group classes are offered for all ages at 9 a.m., followed by the 10:15 a.m. worship service, and the community is warmly welcomed. Pastor Mark Voll will continue his sermon series titled "Wanted Dead and Alive!" (Part 2). This week's sermon title is "Let the Peace of Christ Rule in Your Hearts," with a text of Colossians 3:12-18.

Unitarian Universalists of Benton County

The Unitarian Universalists of Benton County are located at 1110 S.E. Evergreen St. (Little Einstein Montessori School) in Bentonville near the southeast corner of 14th and J streets. The Sunday service, which begins at 11 a.m., is preceded by coffee and social time beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Sunday, April 24, features a potluck with a short presentation, "Beaver Lake: Love It or Lose It," by Tony Miltich.

Sunday School is available for children through age 15. A Unitarian Universalist adaptation of Jerome Berryman's book, "Spirit Play" is the primary resource. The morning is structured based on the Montessori approach. As in Montessori, the key elements are the classroom environment and the teachers. These elements free the children to work at their own pace on their own activities after an initial lesson.

New Wine Ministry

New Wine Ministry will be celebrating the Passover with the GateWay Church of Fayetteville. Pastor James and Joanna Maddox will be leading the teaching through the Seder meal. Unity Church of the Ozarks

Saturday, April 23, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Rev. Carrie Kenyon, from Unity Worldwide Ministries, will be presenting a workshop entitled "Honoring Our Past, Creating Our Future." As the guest speaker on Sunday, April 24, at 10:30 a.m., she will present "Release and Let Go." Following the Sunday service and potluck, Rev. David Mosier will present a workshop assisting the church in selecting a new minister.

The regular meditation time (30-40 minutes) is Wednesday night at 7 p.m. Also planned during that time is the book discussion on "Essential Mystic: The Soul's Journey Into Truth," by Andrew Harvey. This week's subject is "Islam: The Way of Passion."

New Life Christian Church

"The Difference" is the title of the new Sunday message series at New Life Christian Church at the 8:30, 10 and 11:30 a.m. services. New Life Kids programming for children, birth through fifth grade, is offered at all three services.

Engage, for sixth- through 12th-grade students, is held on Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Student Center Café is open from 5 to 8 p.m.

A team from New Life will be going on a serving trip to Haitian Christian Mission in Haiti. While there, they will be putting new roofs on homes and distributing hygiene packs.

The Men's Ministry will host the month's "Gathering" at the Red Onion Espressoria in Bentonville on Tuesday, April 26, at 6 p.m. All guys are welcome.

Bella Vista Baptist Church

Sunday Morning Services include 8:30 a.m. Contemporary Worship, 9:45 a.m. Bible Study/Sunday School and 11 a.m. Traditional Worship.

Wednesday evening prayer meeting is held at 5:45 p.m. in the old sanctuary. Children's choirs meet at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, followed by AWANA at 6:15 p.m. There are youth activities Wednesdays, starting at 6 p.m.

St. Bernard Catholic Church is located at 1 St. Bernard Lane, Bella Vista.
