Village House Adult Day Program in Bella Vista has named Heather Corporon as the executive director. The nonprofit's Board of Directors made the hire after reviewing many qualified candidates.

A new executive director was needed after Shannon Bryant resigned to pursue other opportunities in the area. She had been with Village House eight years.

Corporon brings nearly 20 years of nursing and care-giving experience to the Village House and will supervise the adult day program's day-to-day operation. The Board of Directors say they are confident she will not only maintain the quality of care but improve the overall program in many ways.

Corporon obtained her certified nursing assistant license from the Baptist School of Nursing in 1995. She initially began her career as a CNA in surgical geriatrics, then later working in labor and delivery. In 2008, Ms. Corporon resumed her medical studies at the Meridian Institute, Vanderbilt Campus, adding an operating room specialty along with clinical physician assistant to her resume.

Her skills are very broad, including direct patient care, team leader, operating room assisting, patient instruction to assisting physicians in a clinical setting.

Corporon is excited to share her knowledge of caregiving to the Village House staff to better care for their clients. Her goal is to share her knowledge and experience in the medical field with the staff to increase their passion for caring for others.

Corporon is looking forward to the one-on-one time she can spend getting to know our clients and their families, leading Village House into the ever-growing future of healthcare.

Corporon is a native Arkansan. She was born in Northeast Arkansas and raised in Northwest Arkansas. She now resides in Bella Vista along with her husband, Will Corporon, and their five children. She and her family are active members of Gracepoint Church in Bentonville.
