Historical museum sets open house

The public is invited to the Bella Vista Historical Museum's annual Open House, from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9, continuing the celebration this year of the 100th anniversary of Lake Bella Vista and the 50th anniversary of the founding of Bella Vista Village by John Cooper Sr.

The museum has a new addition, completed this past spring, now filled with exhibits from the Linebarger/Keith era. The open house will feature a mini-exhibit honoring James Gore, who was Cooper's head of engineering.

The museum is next to the American Legion at the corner of U.S. 71 and Kingsland Road.
