POA appreciation sale on now
Bella Vista Village's golf shops and Get-A-Grip is having its member appreciation sale between now and Dec. 24.
All regular merchandise will be discounted 20 percent for members and 10 percent for guests. Shoppers then will have the opportunity to draw for an extra savings of up to 13 percent on all items. Those purchasing golf merchandise with gift certificates will be able to draw twice for discount tickets, and use the highest ticket they pick; however, both tickets drawn can't be used.
In addition, the golf shops will offer golf ball sales through the holidays. Check the golf shops for details. All discounts will be from the suggested retail price; no additional discounts apply.
Putters will be 30 percent off the retail price and sale putters will be reduced an additional 10 percent off of the sales prices. All putters must be in stock and no additional discounts apply.
Free gift wrapping will be available from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. through Dec. 23 on all items purchased from the Kingsdale Golf Shop and Country Club golf shop.
Handicap accounts
On Dec. 31, those who have not paid for their 2016 handicap fees will have their accounts inactivated.
For those who have already paid, their accounts will stay active.
Handicap fee forms are available at the main Golf Operations Office, or at any Bella Vista Village pro shop.

Zumba classes moved
The 9 a.m. Tuesday morning Zumba class that has been held at Metfield Clubhouse with Angela Hopkins has been temporarily relocated to Riordan Hall during building renovations at Metfield Clubhouse.
All are invited to try this high-energy Latin dance-based cardio workout to burn calories all while having fun. Zumba combines energizing and motivating music with unique moves and step combinations that allow the Zumba participants to dance away their worries. Zumba is not only great for the body, but it is also great for the mind.
The cost is $3 a class or purchase a 10-class punch card for $25; for those who do not have a POA issued photo ID an additional $2.25 fee is charged for facility use per visit. Class punch cards previously purchased at Metfield Clubhouse will be honored at Riordan Hall for this class.
Carts on path schedule set
Beginning in December, golf carts will be required to stay on paths at various times on each of Bella Vista Village's 18-hole golf courses.
There will be no overseeding on the Bella Vista golf courses, according to a new release from the Property Owners Association. Therefore, keeping traffic off the non-overseeded fairways will greatly increase the chances of quicker recovery each spring.
The schedule for carts on path is:
• Dec. 1-14 -- Dogwood Hills and Kingswood golf courses
• Dec. 15-28 -- Berksdale and Scotsdale golf courses
• Dec. 29-Jan. 11, 2016 -- Highlands and Bella Vista Country Club golf courses
• Jan. 12-25 -- Dogwood Hills and Kingswood golf courses
• Jan. 26-Feb. 8 -- Berksdale and Scotsdale golf courses
• Feb. 9-22 -- Highlands and Bella Vista Country Club golf courses
• Feb. 23-March 8 -- Dogwood Hills and Kingswood golf courses
• March 9-22 -- Berksdale and Scotsdale golf courses
• March 23-April 5 -- Highlands and Bella Vista Country Club golf courses
• April 6-12 -- Dogwood Hills and Kingswood golf courses
• April 13-19 -- Berksdale and Scotsdale golf courses
• April 20-26 -- Highlands and Bella Vista Country Club golf courses.
Eagle cruises set this winter
Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area will be offering eagle watch cruises from November to February on Beaver Reservoir.
Cruise dates are as follows:
• In November, the cruises will be on Nov. 25, 27, 28, and 29.
• In December, they will be on Dec. 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31.
• In January, they will be Jan. 1, 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 30 and 31.
• In February, the cruises will be Feb. 6, 7, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 27, 28 and 29.
Tickets must be purchased in advance. Adults are $10 plus tax. Children 6-12 are $5 plus tax. Tours depart Rocky Branch Marina promptly at 3 p.m. For more information and to make reservations, call 479-789-5000.
