Saturday, Nov. 28

s The 2015 Winter Carnival will take place on Saturday, Nov. 28, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Riordan Hall. Children will be able to give their lists and have their picture taken with Santa. Additionally, children can play games, make crafts, win prizes and candy. Each child has the opportunity to make two ornaments and a card. The event is free and open to the public. s The Library Foundation is putting on a fun event for kids to kick off the Christmas season at 10 a.m. U.S. Sen. John Boozman and Chef Jeff Wetzel, the Cowboy Chef, from Le Bouvier, will be here to read stories to the children. Santa will be making a special appearance too. Kids ages 7 and up are welcome to head to the back instead and participate in Legomania. There are plenty of Legos to build whatever crazy contraptions a child can dream of.

Friday, Dec. 4

s The 17-piece JM Band of Northwest Arkansas will present a special Christmas concert at 7 p.m. at Riordan Hall, in Bella Vista. The event is free and open to the public. There will be a presentation for the Veterans Wall of Honor Memorial expansion, along with an opportunity to give. The event is sponsored by the Bella Vista Property Owners Association, Thrivent Financial and Chevron Humankind.

Saturday, Dec. 5

s Bella Vista Community Church will hold its annual English Christmas Tea. The theme this year is "Angels Among Us." The 1 p.m. seating is sold out, but tickets remain for the 3 p.m. seating with the program provided by Charles and Company at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 each at the church, 75 E. s The 27th Annual Highlands Church Cookie Walk. The doors open at 8 a.m. The "walk" actually begins at 8:30 a.m. and lasts until 11 a.m., or until all the cookies are gone. Sunday, Dec. 6

s The Bella Vista Men's Chorus will present a free concert, "Home For The Holidays!" at 3 p.m. at the Bella Vista Community Church. The program will feature classical, contemporary and gospel Christmas music under the direction of John Matthews and accompanied by Marilyn Lee on the piano. Also featured will be the Village Ringers under the direction of Marjorie Hemphill-Salomo. Quartets and soloists will also be featured. No tickets are required for this concert and extra parking and shuttle buses will be available. There will be a free-will offering. Sunday, Dec. 13

s Bella Vista Community Church will have a free Christmas Cantata, "Lead Me Back to Bethlehem" with words and music by Pepper Choplin, at 3 p.m. The concert is open to the public and refreshments will be served following the program.
