Dogwood Hills closed today
The Dogwood Hills Golf Course will be closed on today, Nov. 18, for maintenance.
The course will re-open on Nov. 19.
POA appreciation sale
Bella Vista Village's golf shops and Get-A-Grip are sponsoring a member appreciation sale that began Saturday, Nov. 14.
All regular merchandise will be discounted 20 percent for members and 10 percent for guests. Shoppers then will have the opportunity to draw for an extra savings of up to 13 percent on all items. The sale ends Dec. 24. Those purchasing golf merchandise with gift certificates will be able to draw twice for discount tickets and use the highest ticket they pick; however, both tickets drawn can't be used.
In addition, the golf shops will offer golf ball sales through the holidays. Check the golf shops for details. All discounts will be from the suggested retail price; no additional discounts apply.
Putters will be 30 percent off the retail price and sale putters will be reduced an additional 10 percent. All putters must be in stock and no additional discounts apply.
Free gift wrapping from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. through Dec. 23.
Handicap accounts
On Dec. 31, those who have not paid for their 2016 handicap fees will have their accounts inactivated.
The accounts of those who have already paid will still be active.

Eagle cruises set this winter
Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area will be offering eagle watch cruises from November to February on Beaver Reservoir.
Cruise dates are as follows:
• In November, the cruises will be on Nov. 21, 22, 25, 27, 28, and 29.
• In December, they will be on Dec. 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31.
• In January, they will be Jan. 1, 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 30 and 31.
• In February, the cruises will be Feb. 6, 7, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 27, 28 and 29.
Tickets must be purchased in advance. Adults are $10 plus tax. Children 6-12 are $5 plus tax. Tours depart Rocky Branch Marina promptly at 3 p.m. For more information and to make reservations, call 479-789-5000.
Carts on path schedule set
Beginning in December, golf carts will be required to stay on paths at various times on each of Bella Vista Village's 18-hole golf courses.
There will be no overseeding on the Bella Vista golf courses, according to a new release from the Property Owners Association. Therefore, keeping traffic off the non-overseeded fairways will greatly increase the chances of quicker recovery each spring.
The schedule for carts on path is:
• Dec. 1-14 -- Dogwood Hills and Kingswood golf courses
• Dec. 15-28 -- Berksdale and Scotsdale golf courses
• Dec. 29-Jan. 11, 2016 -- Highlands and Bella Vista Country Club golf courses
• Jan. 12-25 -- Dogwood Hills and Kingswood golf courses
• Jan. 26-Feb. 8 -- Berksdale and Scotsdale golf courses
• Feb. 9-22 -- Highlands and Bella Vista Country Club golf courses
• Feb. 23-March 8 -- Dogwood Hills and Kingswood golf courses
Winters hours at ranges
The Property Owners Association began the new winter hours for checking out and returning keys for Bella Vista Village's Pistol and Rifle Range, according to a news release from the Property Owners Association.
The keys are available at the Branchwood Recreation Center and are issued during the center's hours of operation. The Rifle and Pistol Range is open daily during daylight hours.
During the facility's hours, the key will be issued between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. daily and must be returned by 5 p.m.
Members are required to leave their POA-issued photo identification cards or paper membership cards at the center until they return with the key. Members must accompany guests wishing to use the Highlands Gun Range. Guests will not be issued a key.
