Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista

The community is invited to worship for a traditional worship service on Christ the King Sunday, Nov. 22, at 10 a.m. Holy Communion will be served. A staff nursery attendant is available. New friends are always welcome.

Thanksgiving Day Dinner will be served at noon on Nov. 26 for church family members and friends following a Thanksgiving service. Turkey, gravy, and drinks will be provided. Please bring a dish to share and your own table service. Sign up at the information center.

The Martha Garvin Circle of Presbyterian Women is collecting clean, like-new sweaters, sweatshirts, and jackets (all sizes) to be given to the Salvation Army in time for the holidays. The Presbyterian Players and Friends will present Christmas Olio's and The Christmas Guest drama on Sunday, Dec. 6, at 2 p.m. Admission is free and reservations are not required.

Unitarian Universalists of Benton County

The Unitarian Universalists of Benton County are located at 1110 SE Evergreen St. (Little Einstein Montessori School) in Bentonville near the southeast corner of 14th and J Streets. The Sunday service, which begins at 11 a.m., is preceded by coffee and social time beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Sunday School is available for children through age 15. A Unitarian Universalist adaptation of Jerome Berryman's book, "Spirit Play" is the primary resource. The morning is structured based on the Montessori approach. As in Montessori, the key elements are the classroom environment and the teachers. These elements free the children to work at their own pace on their own activities after an initial lesson.

Highlands Church

The annual Fall cleaning of the church will be held on Saturday, Nov. 21 from 9 a.m. to noon. Help is needed from everyone to spruce up the church. Outside and inside workers are needed. Lunch is provided FREE. Call the church for more information and to sign up.

JAM Class will be doing a five-week study of Paul's Letters to Titus and Philemon beginning on Sunday, Dec. 13, at 8:30 a.m. in the Mark classroom. The class will be using the Bible Study "Titus and Philemon" by John Stott. Everyone is welcome to attend.

United Lutheran Church

Bella Vista Lutheran Church

Parent's Night Out will be on Nov. 18 starting at 5:30 p.m. for children ages three to 12. Following the light supper, there will be games, crafts, singing, Bible stories and lots of fun.

The Shepherd's Food Pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. They are in need of monetary donations to help defray the expense of turkeys and roasting chickens for the Thanksgiving bags.

The Beaded Ladies meet on Nov. 18 at 2 p.m., and choir rehearsal is at 7 p.m. The Sonshiners meet on Thursday, Nov. 19, at 9 a.m. and again they are at the Highland Rehab at 2:30 p.m. The Ladies Marathon Bridge is Thursdays at 12:30 p.m, and the Men's Bible study is at 7 p.m

Sunday, Nov. 22, Sunday School begins at 9 a.m. and is followed by Worship with "Open Communion" at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Paul Seal will be speaking on "A Blessed Hope" from Titus 2:11-14.

of the Ozarks

The Wednesday night class "The Journey of The Path of the Mystic" and meditation begin at 7 p.m.

Unity's Got Talent Show will be a blast on Friday, Nov. 20, at 7 p.m.

Unity Church is holding a raffle for a free range turkey with a drawing Nov. 22 followed by Sunday Cinema. "The Shift" is a movie about the movement currently transforming and awakening the planet.

Unity Church continues to recycle empty computer cartridges, old cell phones and small electronics for Planter Green.

Bella Vista Baptist Church

Sunday Morning Services begin with Contemporary Worship at 8:30 a.m., followed by 9:45 a.m. Bible Study/Sunday School, and then Traditional Worship at 11 a.m. Sunday Evening Service starts at 5 p.m. in the old sanctuary.

The Wednesday Evening Meal is from 4:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and the Wednesday Evening Prayer Meeting is held at 5:45 p.m. in the old sanctuary. Children's choirs meet 5:30 p.m. Wednesday followed by AWANA from 6:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. There are youth activities on Wednesdays at 6 p.m.

The Senior Adult Ministries hosts Ice Cream and a Movie the fourth Friday of the month at 6:30 p.m. All adults are welcome.

Village Baptist Church

Village Bible Church

Wednesday, Nov. 18, the Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This ministry is available to anyone in the area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragement of friendly volunteers.

Sunday, Nov. 22, is Dedication Sunday for the new church building. Sunday school classes are offered for all ages at 9 a.m. followed by the 10:15 a.m. Worship Service, and of course the community is welcome. Pastor Mark Voll will continue his sermon series titled "The Church In Focus." This week's sermon title is "We Are Family" with a text of Hebrews 2:10-18. Infant and toddler nursery and Children's Church for kids are offered as well. At 2:30 p.m. a ministry team from the church will provide a chapel service at The Meadows independent and assisted living facility in Bentonville.

Community Church

Bella Vista Community Church is an Interdenominational Stephen Ministry church located at 75 E. Lancashire Blvd. Worship starts at 9:30 a.m. Sunday mornings with coffee fellowship before and after the service. Pastor Anna Teel's sermon this Sunday will be "Living Large as a Lifestyle." Her text will be Philippians 4:4-9. A staffed nursery is available as well as Children's Worship for ages four through 12 during the worship service. Adult Sunday School meets from 8 to 9 a.m. downstairs.

Wednesday Night Family Activities include 6 p.m. pizza and Bible Study for all ages beginning at 6:30 p.m. A nursery is provided.

The 1 p.m. seating for The Christmas English Tea on Saturday, Dec. 5, is sold out. There are tickets remaining for the 3 p.m. seating that can be purchased in the church office Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. The entertainment this year is by Charles and Company at 2 p.m.

Christian Church

Bella Vista Christian Church will host a Thanksgiving Day Dinner in the church atrium on Thursday, Nov. 26 at noon. The church provides the meat, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy and drinks. Everyone brings a favorite side dish to share. Sign up on the church website at BellaVistaChristian.com.

Bella Vista Christian Church, 103 Riordan Road, will hold two Sunday services at 9 and 10:45 a.m. "Heroic Faith" is the title of the current message series. KidTown offers "Orange" programming at both full services for children birth through fifth grade.

The Side by Side Senior, Single ladies will have a fall luncheon at the church on Thursday, Nov. 19. The Haiti Mission Trip team will prepare the meal. All donations will go toward their upcoming trip in 2016 to Haitian Christian Mission.

Methodist Church

Sunday, Nov.22, Associate Pastor Judy Rudd-Platt will continue the Sermon series "Living in Thanksgiving"

A traditional Thanksgiving dinner will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 26. The cost is $12 per person age 12 and older. Children 11 and under are free. Please call the church office at 479-855-1158 to make and pay for reservations no later than Sunday, Nov. 22.

An Advent study for all ages will be held each Sunday between 10:45 and 11:45 a.m. from Nov. 22 to Dec. 20. The study will be using materials entitled "Sent" by Jorge Acevedo, with age-appropriate materials for children and adults.

A Christmas Cantata, "Glory to God in the Highest", will be presented in the traditional services Sunday, Dec. 13. All are welcome.

Moving Forward, a men's fellowship group, meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 11:30 a.m. in Becker Hall. The memories associated with any loss, and the problems of adjusting to life as a single person is expressed in the supportive setting of a group of individuals who have all had similar experiences.

Traditional services are held every Sunday at 8 a.m. and 10:45 a.m., with a contemporary service at 9:30 a.m. Sunday school classes for all ages are also held at 9:30 a.m. Nursery is provided.
