Roadside cleanup scheduled

The city of Bella Vista will be conducting a public service roadside litter clean-up day along US-71 from Bella Vista Town Center to the Missouri border on Saturday, May 30, beginning in the morning and running throughout the day.

Workers will be those sentenced to public service work by the Bentonville Division of the Benton County District Court for misdemeanor and traffic offenses.

This is the first coordinated effort between the Bentonville District Court, Bella Vista City Prosecutor Jason Kelley and the Bella Vista Police Department to have a dedicated public service work event in and for the benefit of Bella Vista. The city hopes this will be the first of many such events in the future.

Citizens are cautioned to drive carefully in the area of the event and to take special care for the safety of those working. Questions regarding the event may be directed to City Prosecutor Jason Kelley through email at [email protected] or to Police Chief Ken Farmer via email at [email protected].
