Village House benefit concert May 15

Submitted Dale Richardson plays the role of “Mr. Eligible” as he proposes to the girl of his dreams—Daisy, who “looks so sweet upon the seat of a bicycle built for two” played by Richardson’s wife, Amy. Soon after, they get married—that is if he can “get to the church on time!”

The Bella Vista Men's Chorus Spring Concert is a benefit concert for The Village House. It will be at 7 p.m. Friday, May 15, and will be held at a new venue -- the Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forrest Hills Blvd.

This concert will be unique for the Men's Chorus in that the first half will be a production called "The Good Old Summertime." Through music, acting and script, the music will celebrate May flowers and gardens, June weddings and romance, and July patriotism.

The audience will witness several things never before seen at a Men's Chorus concert as there will be audience interaction.

Following an offering for the Village House, the second half of the concert will begin with the Bella Vista Ladies Chorus, directed by Larry Zehring. The Men's Chorus, directed by Interim Director, Leland Flickinger, will close the program with several numbers of interest.

The new director of the Men's Chorus, John Mathews, will be introduced during the concert and he will direct the men in one section of the first half production.

There is no admission cost and the entire offering will be given to the Village House.
