The St. Bernard's Women's Club's annual Spring Luncheon/Card Party was held April 21, 2015, at St. Bernard's parish hall. Two hundred eighty-four women came to enjoy an afternoon "At the Mardi Gras." They were greeted with masks, beads, and jazz music.
While chatting with friends and browsing the door prizes, they frequented the chocolate fountain table. They enjoyed a chicken salad plate and praline brownies prepared by Chef Steve Plante and served by women of the parish.
After lunch, attendees played bridge and canasta. In addition to 58 tables of cards, there were 13 tables of Mah Jongg.
Prizes to the winners were floral arrangements, jewelry and gift certificates provided by parishioners and local businesses.
St. Bernard's Women's Club is known for its Holiday Bazaar, which will be the first Saturday in November, with this year's event on Nov. 7.
