Great concert

by Air Force Band

The United State Air Force Band of Mid-America presented a free concert at the Gravette High School on Monday, March 16. The 45-member band was led by Capt. Jason Plosch and what a great, super performance to a capacity enthused audience.

The captain claimed this was one of the best audiences the band has ever played for. They do about 100 concerts a year in a six-state touring area. They are headquartered at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois.

We want to thank all the sponsors who made this event possible: The Weekly Vista, KBVA Variety 106.5, Arvest Bank of Gravette and The Veteran's Council of NW Arkansas (Veteran/s Wall of Honor Memorial).

Thank the ushers from the Veteran's Council: Andy Anderson, Gary Aaron, Gene Roy, Herb Thomas, Leo Scaturro and Forest Strickler and the Color Guard of Bella Vista.

And the great Air Force Band who played their hearts out and mingled with the audience during intermission and after the show.

Thanks to The Weekly Vista office, American Legion Post 341 and Gravette School District who marketed the free 650 tickets. Also to John Edwards, a Bella Vista resident and school board member of the Gravette School District, who did so much behind the scenes in making this event a big success.

God Bless America!
