Library is full of activity

Today is an average Wednesday morning at the Bella Vista Library and I just want to give you a little peek into what an "average" day looks like here.

As I am writing this, the Bella Vista Library Book Club is meeting in the back area of the library. On the other side of the library, the NWA Coupon Clippers are meeting. And, if that were not enough, we also have a tutor working with two students in another part of the library. They are working at the small table in the children's area of the library because there isn't anywhere else to go.

Along with all those activities, we have had a huge donation of books come in this morning and they are stacked up in the workroom until we have time to go through them.

Oh, and did I mention the Encore bookstore is also open and busy? And there is a steady stream of people looking for tax forms? And there also are people using all six of our public computers. And while all of this is going on, our wonderful volunteers are busy at the circulation desk checking books in and out, answering questions and answering the phone.

If you haven't been to the Bella Vista Library, I encourage you to come. This little gem in the woods is probably the busiest, most crowded place in Bella Vista on any given day.

As you can see by the activities going on today that I described, we desperately need more room. This is why we are currently in a campaign to raise funds for an expansion. I urge you to come by and see the proposed plans. You will be impressed. And while you are here, we'd love to show you around the library and show you why we need more room.
