Working together for a better BV

The City of Bella Vista and the Bella Vista Village Property Owners Association would like residents to know that cooperation and coordination between the two organizations is a reality.

This is an exciting time to be in Bella Vista.

In a joint effort, the City and the Association designed and approved monument signs for Bella Vista. The monument signs will be erected at the north and south entrances to the village.

"These monument signs will be a wonderful addition to our community," said Mayor Peter Christie.

Together, the organizations are committed to working toward the future success of Bella Vista. Our combined efforts will propel us toward achieving our portion of the economic development already happening in northwest Arkansas.

"We are excited to share some of the collaborative projects and plans currently under way," said Board Chairman Charlie Teal.

The Environmental Protection Agency is requiring the City to prepare water runoff maps for compliance.

To aid the City, the Association is making its mapping software available for City use. Currently, the Association provides water testing of Sugar Creek for the City.

In the event of inclement weather, the two organizations have joined forces for snow removal. Additionally, a community-wide trails system is in the planning stages.

At this time, new plans are under way in a joint endeavor to move Bella Vista forward with the rest of northwest Arkansas. The City and the Association are fully invested in the future of Bella Vista by combining efforts toward promoting and marketing the community to attract economic development and growth.

A "Town Hall" meeting hosted by both organizations is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, in Riordan Hall, 3 Riordan Drive. Both the Association and the City are looking forward to answering questions and gathering with the community.
