Bella Vista Woodcarvers

Instead of the Bella Vista Woodcarvers Club's regular business meeting at Riordan Hall Thursday, March 12, from 1 to 3 p.m., the group will be meeting at Concordia of Bella Vista from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. to demonstrate woodcarving and show the residents at Concordia some of their finished carvings.

Beta Sigma Phi

Iota Alpha Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi will hold its March 11 meeting at the home of Kay Nelson who will present the program. Becky Fox will serve as co-hostess. A social time will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the meeting following. The March 13 social will be a St. Patrick's Day celebration with Laureate Alpha Mu chapter at 11:30 a.m. in the Village Insurance Room. The service project is a donation to the Bella Vista Animal Shelter and an item for the Saving Grace/Oasis project.

Beta Sigma Phi

Laureate Alpha Mu Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi will meet March 11 at 1 p.m. at the home of Jean Jones who will present a program following the meeting. Helen Smiley will serve as co-hostess. Discussion regarding new officers for 2015-2016 will take place during the meeting. Canned goods and other nonperishable food items were donated to the Shepherd's Pantry this past month.

At 11:30 a.m. on March 13 chapter members will be entertained by Iota Alpha for a "St. Patty's Potato Bar Celebration" at the Village Insurance Community Room. The club's March social will be a "St. Patrick's Day Party" at the home of Jean Jones, Sunday, March 15. The current service project is to gather 100 towels for the Bella Vista Animal Shelter. They may be brought to any club function during March and April.

Sunrise Rotary Club

At the Sunrise Rotary meeting Wednesday, March 11, Darrell Bowman will discuss the Tanyard Creek restoration.

Bella Vista Sunrise Rotary has a breakfast meeting every Wednesday at 6:45 a.m. at the Concordia Retirement Center main building, 1 Concordia Drive, Bella Vista.

Ladies Day Out

Weather permitting, join the Ladies Day Out tour of the Bella Vista Historical Museum Tuesday, March 17, at 10:25 a.m. Participants will meet in front of the museum on U.S. 71 and Kingsland Road, next to the American Legion. After the tour, the group will carpool to the Crumpet Tea Room in Bentonville for lunch. Wear green.

Kingsdale Squares

The Kingsdale Squares will hold their weekly square dance Monday, March 9, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Riordan Hall in Bella Vista. A brief workshop at 6:30 p.m. will precede the dance. Kenton Sullivan will be the caller. Beginning square dance lessons are scheduled for Saturday, March 8, from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Parkinson's Support Group Meeting

The Parkinson's Support Group of Bella Vista will hold its monthly meeting Thursday, March 21, at 3 p.m. at United Lutheran Church, 100 Cooper Road in Bella Vista.

The group will discuss information from two recent webinars. The first is "How Much of Parkinson's Disease is Genetic?" as presented on a webinar by the Michael J. Fox Foundation. The second is "Managing Your Common Health Concerns When You Have Parkinson's" as presented on a webinar by the National Parkinson's Foundation.

The group is open to patients with Parkinson's, their caregivers, and loved ones. Dessert and coffee are served prior to the discussion. All meetings are free.

Bella Vista Computer Club

Windows 10 preview, Cable Cutting, Landline telephone alternatives, and improving home computer safety will be the presentation topics at the 7 p.m. meeting of the Bella Vista Computer Club Monday, March 9. Club officer, Chuck Billman, will facilitate this program. This public meeting is in the Community Room of Highlands Crossing Center (lower level).

Computer help clinics will be offered March 7 and 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Computer Club's classroom at the Highlands Crossing Center (lower level), 1801 Forest Hills Blvd. Bring your tower, laptop, tablet or smartphone for problem solving. The clinic help is a free service for Computer Club members. Guests may join the club and have their computer problems resolved.
