Friday, March 6

s The annual Lenten Fish Fry sponsored by the Knights of Columbus will be at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 1 St. Bernard Way. The Social Hall opens at 5 p.m. and serving begins at 6 p.m. The cost is $10 a person and guests are welcome. The dinner consists of catfish, potato salad, coleslaw, hush puppies and dessert. Tea, water and coffee also will be served. Tickets are necessary and may be purchased at the church office from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Tickets also can be purchased at Social Hall from 10 to 10:45 a.m. on Sundays. There will be another fish fry on Friday, March 27. For more information call 479-855-9069.

s Iron-Jawed Angels, a 2004 HBO film about the American women's suffrage movement in the 1910s starring Hillary Swank and Anjelica Huston, will be shown at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The free event is sponsored by Fayetteville Business and Professional Women. Saturday-Sunday, March 14-15

s The Arkansas Civil War Sesquicentennial Commission, in cooperation with the Old State House Museum and the Arkansas Humanities Council, offers "Civil War Arkansas, 1861 -- 1865", a traveling exhibit about the state's involvement in the war. The exhibit will be at the Hobbs State Park visitor center from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is free and the public is invited to visit the center, which is located on Arkansas Highway 12, just east of the Arkansas 12/War Eagle Road intersection.

Monday, March 16

s The 45-member United States Air Force Band of Mid-America's Concert Band will present a concert at 7 p.m. at Gravette High School. The band plays a diverse repertoire of music ranging from symphonic band masterworks and traditional marches, to modern compositions and jazz. The band is under the direction of Maj. Christina Moore Urrutia, commander of the band stationed at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. Visit the band's website at www.bandofmidamerica.af.mil.
