Village Baptist Church

Men's prayer and Bible study in "The Revelation" takes place each Friday morning from 8 to 10 a.m.

Sunday school for all ages begins at 9 a.m. A nursery is provided. Worship will take place at 10:15 a.m. Sunday, June 28.

Wednesday evening choir practice is at 5:45 p.m. followed by prayer and Bible study at 7 p.m.

Toothbrushes, toothpaste and toothbrush holders are being collected for Operation Christmas Child.

Unitarian Universalists of Benton County

The Unitarian Universalists of Benton County is located at 1110 SE Evergreen St., Little Einstein Montessori School, in Bentonville near the southeast corner of 14th and J Streets. The Sunday service begins at 11 a.m. and is preceded by coffee and social time beginning at 10:30 a.m.

On Sunday, June 28, Andee DeRouen will give a presentation on "Indigenous-Earth Centered Religions," one of several traditions from which Unitarian Universalists gain wisdom.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church

The Friendly Stitchers meet at 9 a.m. June 25 at Bella Vista Lutheran Church.

The Shepherd's Food pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Since school is out for the summer visitors will be able to come twice a month in June, July and August. Donations of toothbrushes and toothpaste, shampoo, toilet paper and baby wipes are requested. A shopping cart for donations is in the fellowship hall entry and a container is also in the church narthex.

The church choir will be singing the National Anthem at the Arvest Ballpark on Friday, June 26. Tickets are available at the church for $7. A sign-up sheet is at the church kiosk.

On Sunday a traditional worship is at 8:30 a.m. with a blended service at 10:45 a.m. Sunday school and adult Bible classes are at 9:45 a.m.

The Prayer Shawl Makers received a request from Circle of Life at Legacy Village that 50 prayer shawls are needed. Anyone with time to knit or crochet some prayer shawls may contact Elaine Schurman at 479-531-3395. Circle of Life requests that prayer shawls be laundered to remove the sizing prior to donation.

Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista

Ladies of the church will gather for the monthly Birthday Luncheon Friday, June 26, at 11:30 a.m. Sign up at the information center to learn the location of this month's luncheon.

The community is invited to worship at a traditional worship service at 10 a.m. Adult and children's Sunday school both meet at 8:30 a.m. Funds will be collected this Sunday and the third Sunday of every month for the Cents-Ability Hunger Program. The collection container is located in the connector hallway. Food items are collected this Sunday for the Helping Hands Food Pantry in Bentonville. This month the requested food item is peanut butter, although any food item or monetary donation would be appreciated. The collection table is located in the connector hallway.

The Book Club will not be meeting during June and July. The next meeting will be August 27, at 10 a.m. in the church parlor. The topic will be one book read since the last meeting in May. New participants are always welcome.

United Lutheran Church

United in Prayer meets at 3 p.m. each Monday. All are welcome.

United Lutheran Church office will be closed Friday, July 3, for holiday.

Blood pressure clinic will be held in nurse's office before and after the 9:30 a.m. service on July 5.

United Lutheran will congregate around the flag pole at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 5, for Pledge of Allegiance and National Anthem sung by Sandy O'Neil before processing into the sanctuary for worship service.

Breakfast Club, formerly Men's Club, will have a picnic at Kingsdale pavilion at 5:30 p.m. Monday, July 6.

United's Summer Movie Series will be held July 10 and August 14 at 8 p.m. on the church parking lot. The community is welcome to attend to this free event. Drinks and popcorn will be available, just bring blankets and/or lawn chairs.

First United Methodist Church

A prayer service is held every Wednesday at 5 p.m. in the chapel. All are welcome.

United Methodist Women will host their quarterly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 24 in Becker hall. Col. Max Gore with the Arkansas Civil Air Patrol will be the guest speaker. Gore will share the many ways citizens may volunteer in assisting local communities for public welfare and local emergencies. Dinner will be catered and tickets are $7 each, reservations should have been made by June 21. Purchase tickets after each service or in the church office. The Rev. Jaimie Alexander will bring the message "Portrait of a Pauper" on June 28 from Jeremiah 31:3 and Romans 5:1-6. Traditional services are held at 8 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. with a contemporary service a 9:30 a.m. Sunday school classes for all ages are also held at 9:30 a.m. Nursery provided. Village House is the mission of the month. All donations are appreciated.

Saturday, Aug. 1, is the date for our annual all-church rummage sale sponsored by United Methodist Women. It will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and there will be something for everyone. Food will be available.

Caregivers Support Group provides an essential support system for those who are primary caregivers of family or friend. The group meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 9 a.m. Anyone feeling overwhelmed by the responsibilities as a caregiver is welcome to attend.

Bazaar workshops meet every Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the quilt room. Bring a sack lunch and stay for all or part of the day.

Two weekly meetings of Alcoholics Anonymous are hosted at the church on Saturday and Monday. Call or stop by the church for more information.

A single men's fellowship group meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 11:30 a.m. in Becker Hall. The memories associated with any loss, and the problems of adjusting to life as a single person are expressed in the supportive setting of a group of individuals who have all had similar experiences. A new Bible study will begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, titled "Importance of the Holy Spirit." The community is welcome.

Sunday school will begin at 9 a.m. June 28. The Rev. Paul Seal will speak on "Obeying the Voice Calling Within" from John 17: 1-12 at the 10:30 a.m. worship service with open communion.

A birthday celebration for Vivian Keller will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Bella Vista Christian Church

Bella Vista Christian Church offers two Sunday morning worship services at 9 and 10:45 a.m. KidTown for children birth through grade 5 is held during both services. Student Ministry engage study for grades 6 through 12 meets at 6 p.m. Sunday evenings.

A new Sunday morning summer series will begin July 5 titled "FAQ." Anyone who has a question or topic for consideration during one of the Sunday services may go online to bellavistachristian.com and submit a question.

Engage worship for students grades 6 through 12 will hold their worship service on Wednesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Forest Hills Church

Forest Hills Church welcomes people of all faiths to attend this coming Sunday, June 28, worship service at 10:45 am. Interim Pastor the Rev. Randal Terrill will bring the message. A casual drop-in coffee and sweets fellowship begins at 9 a.m. followed by adult Bible studies at 9:45 a.m. Every Wednesday noon is a sack lunch Bible study and prayer meeting. An evening prayer meeting is held at 5:45 p.m. Wednesdays in the old sanctuary.

The Senior Adult Ministries hosts Ice Cream and a Movie the fourth Friday of the month at 6 p.m. All adults are welcome.

A Men's Prayer Breakfast is offered every Tuesday at 6:30 a.m. in fellowship hall. They are studying the Book of 2nd Peter.

Threads of Love gathers at 9:30 a.m. the second and fourth Wednesday of each month in room 143B.

Unity Church of the Ozarks

Wednesday Night Class and Meditation is held at 7 p.m. each Wednesday at the church. The classes are based from a metaphysical point of view. A quiet meditation follows the class.

On Sunday, June 28, the monthly potluck will be followed by a workshop titled "Planning Our Own Memorial Service." The workshop will be presented by the Rev. Edie Skalitzky and the Rev. Jan Lightener and will be on a love offering basis.

Village Bible Evangelical Free

The Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 24. This ministry is available to anyone in the area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragement of church volunteers.

A potluck fellowship dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. The meal is followed by singing, devotions and prayer for adults. A representative from the Gideons International will provide a brief update on their work. Activities are also held for children and youth at 6:20 p.m. Nursery for infants and toddlers is available.

Bible study in the book of Jeremiah meets at the church at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 25. The community is invited.

Sunday school classes are offered for all ages at 9 a.m. At the 10 a.m. worship service the Rev. Mark Voll will continue his sermon series titled "It Was the Best & Worst of Times." This week's focus is "These Are the Days of Our Lives" with a text of 1 Peter 4:1-11. Infant and toddler nursery and Children's Church for kids are offered as well. At 2:30 p.m. a ministry team from the church will provide a chapel service at The Meadows independent and assisted living facility in Bentonville.

A men's Bible study on Jeremiah meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday. A ladies' KniTTogether ministry and the White Cross Women's Mission ministry also meet at 7 p.m.

The JAM Adult Sunday School Class meets every Sunday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Highlands Church. They will begin a new study on June 28 titled "A Study of Galatians." Visitors are welcome.
