United Lutheran Church

United in Prayer meets 3 p.m. each Monday. All are welcome.

We will be hosting a blood pressure clinic Aug. 2 at 8:45-9:15 a.m. and 10:30--11:00 a.m. (before and after worship service).

Bella Vista Lutheran Church

A special worship service for those that are unable to attend a regular worship service will be on Aug. 3 at 11:30 a.m. Following the service, a light lunch will be served. If you have need for transportation to this service or any other worship service, please contact the church office at 479-855-0272.

The Shepherd's Food Pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The pantry is in need of boxed cereals. A shopping cart for donations is in the new Fellowship Hall entry.

There is a need for Prayer Shawls. If you can knit or crochet one, please contact Elaine Schurman at 479-531-3395. Please wash the prayer shawls to remove the sizing.

Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista

The community is invited to worship with us for a traditional worship service Sunday, Aug. 2, at 10 a.m. We always welcome new friends. Holy communion will be served.

The church is continuing to help the Helping Hands Food Pantry in Bentonville. They are in need of child-friendly snacks and lunch items during the months of July and August. The donation table is located in the connector hallway.

The Missions Committee is collecting personal care items for the NWA Children's Shelter and also back-to-school supplies for Cooper and Gravette schools. Lists of the desired items for the Children's Shelter are available in the connector hallway. School supply lists are available in the stores, or monetary donations can be made. The collection boxes for both projects are located in the connector hallway.

An exercise class meets in Fellowship Hall every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. This is open to all in the community at no charge.

The church is located at 1880 Forest Hills Blvd. Sunday worship service is held at 10 a.m. Adult and Children's Sunday School both meet at 8:30 a.m. All are welcome. Village Baptist Church News

Join us this Sunday, Aug. 2 for service at 10:15 a.m. Evening service begins at 6 p.m.

Unitarian Universalists of Benton County

The Unitarian Universalists of Benton County have relocated to 1110 SE Evergreen St. (Little Einstein Montessori School) in Bentonville near the southeast corner of 14th and J Streets. The Sunday service, which begins at 11 a.m., is preceded by coffee and social time beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Sunday, Aug. 2, Dr. Jeffrey L. Tate will give a homily on the current understanding of "Human Flourishing and How to Get it."

Sunday School is available for children through age 15. A Unitarian Universalist adaptation of Jerome Berryman's book, "Spirit Play", is the primary resource. We structure the morning based on the Montessori approach. As in Montessori, the key elements are the classroom environment and the teachers. These elements free the children to work at their own pace on their own activities after an initial lesson.

Highlands Church

The JAM Adult Sunday School Class meets every Sunday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Visitors are always welcome.

Join us for an Ice Cream Social Fundraiser in Fellowship Hall before the service on Saturday, Aug. 1 and after the service on Sunday, Aug. 2 benefitting the youth of the Highlands Student Ministry. A free will offering will be accepted; proceeds help offset costs associated with special youth activities, like their recent mission trip to Memphis.

Bella Vista Community Church

Join us for worship at 9:30 a.m. Sunday mornings with coffee fellowship before and after the service. A staffed nursery is available, as well as Children's Teaching Time for ages 4-12 during the worship service. Adult Sunday School meets from 8 -- 9 a.m.

Blankets of Love (Quilting) meet Tuesday, Aug. 4, at 9 a.m. in the lower level.

Free blood pressure checks are available each Wednesday in the nurses' office from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. This service is also available the last Sunday of each month at 9 a.m. in the Parlor. This is open to the community.

Prayer Fellowship meets every Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. in the Conference Room.

Join us for Cups and Croissants Saturday, Aug. 8, from 9-11 a.m. Just call the church office to sign up.

Note that the Caregivers Support Group, Prostate Cancer Support Group, and Diabetes Support Group do not meet during the summer months (June-August).

A new class, "Energy Explorations", with a variety of both training and applications of energy medicine, health and wellness skills, takes place the first and third Mondays from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on a love offering basis.

Village Bible Evangelical Free Church

Wednesday, July 29, the Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This ministry is available to anyone in our area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragement of our friendly volunteers. A potluck fellowship dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the community is always welcome. The dinner is followed at 6:20 p.m. by singing, devotions and prayer for adults with activities also held for children. Nursery for infants and toddlers is available and the community is invited.

Thursday, July 30, a Bible study on the book of Jeremiah meets at the church at 6:30 p.m. Men and women in the community are welcome and newcomers may come at any time.

Sunday, Aug. 2, Sunday school classes are offered for all ages at 9 a.m. followed by the 10 a.m. Worship Service, with communion, and, the community is welcomed. Pastor Mark Voll will begin a new sermon series titled "Make Your Move." This week's focus is "Make Your Move: You're Alive in Christ," with a text of Ephesians 2:1-10. Infant and toddler nursery and Children's Church for kids are offered as well.

Tuesday, Aug. 4, a men's Bible study on Jeremiah meets at 7 p.m. Men from the community are always welcome. A ladies' KniTTogether ministry and the White Cross Women's Mission ministry also meet at 7 p.m. The ladies enjoy informal fellowship while working on projects that benefit needy children and adults in our area as well as a hospital in Congo. This, too, is open to any ladies who would like to come and learn more about it.

Bella Vista Baptist Church

The Wednesday Evening Prayer Meeting is held in at 5:45 p.m. in the old sanctuary.

AWANA and Children's Choirs Kickoff/Registration will be Wednesday, Aug. 12 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

She was instrumental in helping Highland Christian Church become a reality. There will be a fellowship meal after the service.
