Bella Vista Village's golf shops will be participating in the 2015 Arkansas Sales Tax holiday Saturday, Aug. 1 and Sunday, Aug. 2.
State and local taxes will not be collected during the 48-hour period on clothing that is less than $100 and clothing accessories and equipment that are less than $50.
The golf shops' tax-free items include: shirts, shorts/skorts, coats/jackets, sweatshirts, belts, hats, caps and ear bands, purses/handbags, socks, sunglasses, wallets, watches and umbrellas.
Tax will be collected on golf shoes, golf gloves and any single item that is more than $100.
Village facility hours are as follows:
• Bella Vista Country Club Golf Shop, Highlands Golf Shop, Kingsdale Golf Shop, Metfield Golf Shop and the Scotsdale Golf Shop will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on both days.
• Branchwood Recreation Center will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Aug. 1 and from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Aug. 2.
