Marina facility

is good

Regarding the gentleman's recent Letter to the Editor disparaging the marina, I am sure there is always room for improvement. However, my wife and I just spent a pleasant morning kayaking from the marina.

We found the marina to be in good repair. The gentleman who was attending the marina was energetic and friendly. He patiently gave us a short tutorial on kayaking. We enjoyed our marina kayaking experience and urge others to avail themselves of this fine facility.

Rather than being discouraged by the condition of the marina, my wife and I were impressed. I do not know why the writer's friends would ask "what is happening to the marina?"

My wife and I are from Savannah, Ga., and are familiar with marinas of every stripe. There is nothing to warrant our disenchantment with the marina at Loch Lomond.

The comments about the facilities adjoining the marina might be well taken but do not apply to the marina facility itself.
