Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista

Ladies of the church will gather Friday, July 24, at 11:30 a.m. for the monthly birthday luncheon to celebrate those having a birthday during the month. Please sign up at the Information Center to learn the location of this month's luncheon.

The community is invited to worship with us for a traditional worship service on Sunday, July 26, at 10 a.m. We always welcome new friends.

On this Sunday and the fourth Sunday of every month, food items are collected for the Helping Hands Food Pantry in Bentonville. This month the requested food items are powdered or canned milk and bottled fruit drinks although any food items or monetary donations would be appreciated. They are also in need of child-friendly snacks and lunch items during the months of July and August. The donation table is located in the Connector Hallway.

The Fellowship Committee will host an Ice Cream Social in the Fellowship Hall Sunday, July 26, at 3 p.m. Please sign up at the Information Center if you plan to attend.

An exercise class meets in Fellowship Hall every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. This is open to all in the community at no charge.

The church is located at 1880 Forest Hills Blvd. Sunday Worship Service is held at 10 a.m. Adult and Children's Sunday School both meet at 8:30 a.m. All are welcome. Bella Vista Lutheran Church

There is a great need for prayer shawls. If you can knit or crochet a prayer shawl, please contact Elaine Schurman at 479-531-3395. Please wash your prayer shawl to remove the sizing.

The Shepherd's Food pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. They served 727 people during the month of June. They are in need of nutritious snacks for the children. A container for your donations is in the chuch narthex.

The Silver Needle Quilters meet on July 22 at 8:30 a.m. The Friendly Stitchers meet on July 23 at 9 a.m.

United Lutheran Church

United in Prayer meets at 3 p.m. each Monday. All are welcome.

Schmieding Center is having a lunch and learn at United Lutheran Church on July 28, at noon. Pam Adams, RN, will be presenting a program about Stroke Awareness. Call 800-734-2024 for reservations.

Village Bible Evangelical Free Church

Wednesday, July 22, the Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This ministry is available to anyone in our area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragement of our friendly volunteers. A potluck fellowship dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the community is always welcome. The dinner is followed at 6:20 p.m. by singing, devotions and prayer for adults with activities also held for children. Nursery for infants and toddlers is available and the community is invited.

Thursday, July 23, a Bible study in the book of Jeremiah meets at the church at 6:30 p.m. Men and women in the community are welcome, and newcomers may come at any time.

Sunday, July 26, Sunday school classes are offered for all ages at 9 a.m. followed by the 10 a.m. worship service and, of course, the community is warmly welcomed. Guest pastor Don Moor will bring the message for the 10 a.m. Worship Service. Infant and toddler nursery and Children's Church for kids are offered as well. At 2:30 p.m., a ministry team from the church will provide a chapel service at The Meadows independent and assisted living facility in Bentonville.

Tuesday, July 28, a men's Bible study on Jeremiah meets at 7 p.m. Men from the community are always welcome. A ladies' KniTTogether ministry and the White Cross Women's Mission ministry also meet at 7 p.m. The ladies enjoy informal fellowship while working on projects that benefit needy children and adults in our area as well as a hospital in Congo. This too is open to any ladies who would like to come and learn more about it.

Bella Vista Christian Church

Bella Vista Christian Church will host a picnic and baptisms at Lake Avalon in Bella Vista on Sunday, July 26 at 5 p.m. There will be inflatables and games for all ages. The Engage Student Ministries holds a teen worship service each Wednesday from 6- 7:30 p.m. in the church student center. All sixth-12th graders are invited to come.

The Men's Ministry will host "The Gathering" on Tues. July 28 at 6 p.m. at BVCC. A special meal will be prepared for the evening. Richard Smith, a founder of New Heights Christian School, will be the speaker.

Little Sprouts Preschool is now enrolling for the 2015-16 school year which begins on Aug. 17. This is for 3-5 year old children. For more information, call 479-855-1616.

The Bella Vista Christian Outreach Team will partner with Samaritan House at a back to school event in Gravette on Sat. Aug. 1 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Unity Church of the Ozarks Weekly Vista

Sunday, July 26th, the Board of Trustees will be holding their annual appreciation luncheon for the Unity congregants after the service, "Sacred Worth", presented by Rev. Edie Skalitzky.

Wednesday Night Class and Meditation is held at the church center from 7 to 8:30 p.m. These classes are based from a metaphysical point of view. A quiet meditation follows the class. Join us.

Saturday QiGong Classes, led by Rick Blough from Unity Fayetteville, will meet Saturday, July 25th at 9 a.m. at the Unity Church. Afterwards, stay for the complimentary hands-on-healing session.

Forest Hills Church welcomes people of all faiths to attend this coming Sunday's worship service at 10:45 a.m. Interim Pastor Randall Terrill will bring the message. A casual drop-in coffee and sweets fellowship begins at 9 a.m. followed by an adult Bible video study on Heaven by Dr. David Jeremiah at 9:30 a.m. Every Wednesday noon is a sack lunch Bible study and prayer meeting. These studies are open for everyone in the community.

Highlands Church

The JAM Adult Sunday School Class meets every Sunday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Visitors are always welcome.

Join BJ Fink, a master's program student and local college instructor, for Discovering Biblical Archaeology on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. through July 28. Each separate lecture on archaeology and the Bible lands is sure to be educational and informative, so come to one or come to all. Feel free to bring a lunch. Coffee and other refreshments will be provided.

Our next HUMMERS Blood Drive is scheduled for Wednesday, July 29th from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Free T-shirts for all participants.

Join us for an Ice Cream Social fundraiser in Fellowship Hall before the service on Saturday, Aug. 1, and after the service on Sunday, Aug. 2, benefitting the youth of the Highlands Student Ministry. A free-will offering will be accepted; proceeds help offset costs associated with special youth activities, like their recent mission trip to Memphis.

Bella Vista Community Church

There are no Wednesday night family activities due to Vacation Bible School that started Monday evening and goes through Thursday night, July 23.

Bella Vista Community Church is an Interdenominational Stephen Ministry church located at 75 E. Lancashire Blvd. Join members for worship at 9:30 a.m. Sunday mornings with coffee fellowship before and after the service. A staffed nursery is available as well as Children's Teaching Time for ages 4-12 during the worship service. Adult Sunday School meets from 8-9 a.m.

Free blood pressure checks are available each Wednesday in the nurses' office from 9 a.m.to noon. This service is also available the last Sunday of each month at 9 a.m. in the Parlor. This is open to the community.

Prayer Fellowship meets every Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. in the conference room.

Hope Happens Here cancer support group meets Thursday, July 23, at 3:30 p.m. in the parlor.

Note that the Caregivers Support Group, Prostate Cancer Support Group, and Diabetes Support Group do not meet during the summer months (June-August).
