Garden Club

thanks residents

The Bella Vista Garden Club wishes to thank everyone who came to our annual spring plant sale on Saturday, May 2.

Our customers had their pick of healthy plants grown in this area, and our members got to meet and talk up gardening with people who stopped by.

Most importantly, the funds raised allow the club to give a scholarship to a deserving horticultural student in a nearby college, as well as continue our beautification projects in and around Bella Vista.

Special thanks go to the Village Wastewater Co., which made room in their greenhouse for our plants and allowed us to hold our plant sale at their facility, erecting the banner, providing security and extra hands where needed.

We also thank Home Depot, Scotts Fertilizer, Lowe's, Diamond Manufacturing Co., and Allen's Grocery for their generous contributions and materials, as well as our own club members who shared their wonderful plants from their gardens, and thanks to the Weekly Vista and Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette for the coverage we received prior to the sale.

Many of our members dug and potted in inclement weather and helped make the sale successful.

Bella Vistans have come to know they can buy quality plants at a reasonable price at our sales.

If you missed the sale this year, our remaining plants are located at Village Wastewater and can be purchased Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.. We will be offering a variety of bulbs and other plants at our Fall Plant Sale.
