Bella Vista Christian Church

Bella Vista Christian Church offers two Sunday morning worship services at 9 and 10:45 a.m. KidTown for children birth through grade 5 is held during both services. Student Ministry Engage study for grades 6 through 12 meets at 6 p.m. Sunday evenings.

A new Sunday morning summer series will begin July 5 titled "FAQ." Anyone who has a question or topic for consideration during one of the Sunday services may go online to bellavistachristian.com and submit a question.

Engage Worship for students grades 6 through 12 will hold their worship service on Wednesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Sister2Sister will host a game and fellowship night at 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 10, at the church. Ladies of all ages in the community are welcome.

Junior and senior high students will attend Camp Joshua Christian Camp in Gentry. For dates and costs visit the church website.

Little Sprouts Preschool is accepting enrollment for 3-5 year old children for the new school year set to begin Aug. 17. For more information call the church office.

Unitarian Universalists of Benton County

The Unitarian Universalists of Benton County is located at 1110 SE Evergreen St., Little Einstein Montessori School, in Bentonville near the southeast corner of 14th and J Streets. The Sunday service begins at 11 a.m. and is preceded by coffee and social time beginning at 10:30 a.m.

On Sunday, July 5, following participation in a Celtic spirit journey focused on the sacred feminine in the west of Ireland, Jean Justice will give a homily titled "Kindling the Celtic Spirit."

Bella Vista Lutheran Church

The Shepherd's Food pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Since school is out for the summer visitors will be able to come twice a month in June, July and August. Donations of toothbrushes and toothpaste, shampoo, toilet paper and baby wipes are requested. A shopping cart for donations is in the fellowship hall entry and a container is also in the church narthex.

On Sunday a traditional worship is at 8:30 a.m. with a blended service at 10:45 a.m. Sunday school and adult Bible classes are at 9:45 a.m.

The Prayer Shawl Makers received a request from Circle of Life at Legacy Village that the are in great need of prayer shawls. Anyone with time to knit or crochet some prayer shawls may contact Elaine Schurman at 479-531-3395. Circle of Life requests that prayer shawls be laundered to remove the sizing prior to donation.

United Lutheran Church

United in Prayer meets at 3 p.m. each Monday. All are welcome.

United Lutheran Church office will be closed Friday, July 3, for holiday.

A blood pressure clinic will be held in nurse's office before and after the 9:30 a.m. service on July 5.

Church members will congregate around the flag pole at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 5, for the Pledge of Allegiance and National Anthem sung by Sandy O'Neil before processing into the sanctuary for worship service.

The Breakfast Club, formerly the Men's Club, will have a picnic at Kingsdale pavilion at 5:30 p.m. Monday, July 6.

The summer movie series continues. At 8 p.m. July 10 the feature will be "Monsters University." The community is welcome to attend to this free event. Drinks and popcorn will be available, just bring blankets and/or lawn chairs.

United Singles will meet 10 a.m. Saturday, July 11, in fellowship hall.

Diamond Jubilee will gather for a patriotic party at the Plaza at 12:30 p.m. Monday, July 13.

Also Monday, Stephen Ministers will have a picnic at 6 p.m. in fellowship hall.

Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista

The community is invited to worship at a traditional worship service at 10 a.m. July 5. Adult and children's Sunday school both meet at 8:30 a.m. Holy Communion will be served.

An exercise class meets in fellowship hall every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. This is open to all in the community at no charge.

Forest Hills Church

Forest Hills Church welcomes people of all faiths to attend this coming Sunday, July 5, worship service at 10:45 am. Interim Pastor the Rev. Randal Terrill will bring the message.

A casual drop-in coffee and sweets fellowship begins at 9 a.m. followed by adult Bible studies at 9:45 a.m. Every Wednesday noon is a sack lunch Bible study and prayer meeting. These studies are open to everyone in the community.

Unity Church of the Ozarks

Wednesday Night Class and Meditation is held at 7 p.m. each Wednesday at the church. The classes are based from a metaphysical point of view. A quiet meditation follows the class.

Unity Breakfast Club will meet at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 4. Those wishing to attend should bring a heart healthy dish and be ready to join in the current discussion.

Prayer Team meets in the sanctuary the first Sunday of the month, July 5.

Highlands Church

The JAM Adult Sunday School Class meets every Sunday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Highlands Church. They will continue the new study titled "A Study of Galatians." Visitors are welcome.

The annual homes tour is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 29. More information will come at a later date.

Community Church

Free blood pressure checks are available each Wednesday in the nurses' office at Bella Vista Community Church from 9 a.m. to noon. This service is also available the last Sunday of each month at 9 a.m. in the parlor. This is open to the community.

Wednesday night family activities begin at 6 p.m. with a pizza dinner followed by Bible study for all ages at 6:30 p.m. Nursery is provided.

Growing through Grief support group will meet at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, July 2, in the parlor.

The church office will be closed Thursday for the Fourth of July holiday.

Adult Sunday school meets from 8 to 9 a.m. Coffee fellowship before and after the Sunday service. Worship begins at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday. A staffed nursery is available, as well as children's teaching time for ages 4-12 during the worship service. July 5 is First Fruits Sunday when non-perishable food items and cash donations are collected for local food banks.

Prayer Fellowship meets every Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. in the conference room.

The next Newcomers' Orientation will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, in the parlor. Anyone interested in knowing more about Community Church is welcome to attend.

Vacation Bible school will be held 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, July 20, through Thursday, July 23. Register in the church during office hours between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. VBS is for children 4 years old to sixth grade.

Note that the Caregivers Support Group, Prostate Cancer Support Group and Diabetes Support Group do not meet June through August.

Bella Vista Baptist

An evening prayer meeting is held at 5:45 p.m. Wednesdays in the old sanctuary.

Youth activities begin at 6 p.m. MOVE begins at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday for ages four through sixth grade.

The Senior Adult Ministries hosts Ice Cream and a Movie the fourth Friday of the month at 6 p.m. All adults are welcome.

A Men's Prayer Breakfast is offered every Tuesday at 6:30 a.m. in fellowship hall. They are studying the Book of 2nd Peter.

Threads of Love gathers at 9:30 a.m. the second and fourth Wednesday of each month in room 143B.

Highland Christian Church

(Disciples of Christ)

Bible study on "Importance of the Holy Spirit" continues at 4 p.m. Wednesday. The community is welcome.

Game Day begins at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 2.

Church offices will be closed Thursday, July 3, in observance of the July 4 holiday.

Sunday school will begin at 9 a.m. July 5. Worship with open communion will begin at 10:30 a.m. with guest speaker Ronnie Prevost speaking on "Fighting Your Giants"from Joshua 14:6-15. Prevost is an ordained minister with a master of divinity and a doctor of philosophy. He has written several books as well as over 100 articles for various journals and periodicals. He has pastored churches and taught at several universities and seminaries around the world. Prevost and his wife have recently moved to Bella Vista after retiring.

Adante Music Club will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 7.

Village Bible Evangelical Free

The Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 1. This ministry is available to anyone in the area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragement of church volunteers.

A potluck fellowship dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. The meal is followed by singing, devotions and prayer for adults. Activities are also held for children and youth at 6:20 p.m. Nursery for infants and toddlers is available.

Bible study in the book of Jeremiah meets at the church at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 2. The community is invited.

Sunday school classes are offered for all ages at 9 a.m. At the 10 a.m. there will be worship with communion and the Rev. Mark Voll's message "One Nation Under God, Indivisible?" Infant and toddler nursery and children's church for kids are offered as well.

A men's Bible study on Jeremiah meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday. A ladies' KniTTogether ministry and the White Cross Women's Mission ministry also meet at 7 p.m.
